Iacv?
Iacv?
So i installed my comptech headers yesterday but couldnt torque the bolts down and it smelt like it had an exhaust leak. took it to the dealer and they torqued it for free
. But after they got torqued down they brought the car out and when i started it my rpms were going up and down and a cel was on. At first I thought it was the idle relearn process. but i brought a tech out to check it anyways. forgot what the code said but it was something about the idle. He said it was probably the iacv. so i drove to work thinking i would just clean it out and relearn it later. but on the way home after work the rpms werent fluxuating from 1000 to 1500 anymore. it was just staying at 1500 and the cel came back on. after that ever time i let on or let off the gas the car would jerk. made me worry alot more.
So my question is does anyone think its not the iacv? and also i have a 3 year extended warranty and it does say it covers intake and exhaust valves. the iacv would fall under this right? did the search and all the symptoms do sounds like its the iacv expect for the constant 1500 rpm.
oh and this is an 03 cls6 with 71800 miles. I have an intake, img, tb spacer, and headers. thanks for any input.

Well you should find out what the code for the check engine light is. Maybe also due to a faulty oxygen sensor since it sounds like the header job didnt go too well so maybe installing the O2 sensor back didnt go so well either.
Also check to see if all the vacuum hoses are connected correctly.
and finally if the CEL does say IACV then that is what it might be. But best thing is to pull the code and post it on here so we can figure it out.
