How long does it take to put in an AEM CAI w/bypass???????
I ordered an AEM CAI about a week ago, so it should be in any day now. My question is, should I pay the shop where I got it from $50 to put it in, or do it my self. I have a very short fuse....I tend to break stuff when I get frustrated. I remeber a thred on this forum that said it took 11 hours........NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey! You sound like me... Pay the $50...
On a similar note, if I were to install a short ram, does anybody know if I have to deal with sh*t like a resonator box??? I know my old Accord had that...

I took out my old CAI and put in the AEM in 1hr40 (timed by Chod) including getting tools, cleaning up and taking some pics. But that was without the bypass. I would say 30min extra for the by-pass (assume you have the hacksaw and you dont have to run around looking for "the turning clicking thing"
sorry, Amir
). If you are short fused, I would recomment pay someone to do it or you will break the stock rubber piece trying to take out the locking spring.

Don't take off the stock hose--just link up to them.
The CAI install is pretty easy, really. Especially without a
bypass.
There are a handful of things that are tricky to reach.
I suggest browsing my HOW-TO and then taking a peek to see
where everything is. You don't need a lift, or anything.
There are really only two bolts which are kinda tough to reach -
the one under the battery and one of the ones under the car.
If you have a decent clicky thing that makes the ticking sound they should be easy.
I'd say two hours tops once you know what you are doing.

I think what you're talking about is the clamps that hold the hoses to the air intake. Take out the battery to get better access one of the bolts that holds the stock air filter housing down. The only reason I took off the bumper is b/c I knew that I would get better to the resonator. Just undo the 3 bolts that are on the resonator and rip that thing out
How the hell do you take out those little clips that hold the plastic cover on the bottom of the car. Are they like rivets???. Also, the big hose on the back of the intake tube. I pulle don it, and it didn't come off.
To take off those little black clips underneath the car, just stick in a thin flathead screwdriving into the notch and twist. The plastic bolt thing should pop out of its housing a little bit and you should be able to yank it out. Which black hose are you talking about?
Try these directions: http://wizardsworks.org/chod/acura/cai/
If you are talking about the tube that connects to the engine, just slide off the clamps and pry out the tube.
