High beam question

What up yo!

I am doing a PIAA light upgrade (started last night and finishing later today) I was going to do up the High beams and i noticed that there are 2 screws. Do those screws need to come out to get the high beams out? or do i just unplug and pull

Thanks for your help

I never noticed any screws? you just turn the bulb housing 1/4 turn and remove it. The bulb is held in the socket with a clip you have to push while you remove the bulb. The driver's side, you need to remove the overflow tank for the radiator first (very easy), just slides up and out.

Screws are there.

You should be able to unplug & twist the bulbs out, however you might need to loosen those screws if you can't. They do hold the socket in. Most are loose enough.

The bulb housing only twists in one direction about a 1/4 turn and then slides out. It can be tight but not too bad. As always don't touch the bulb with your fingers, oils on the bulb will burn it out quicker. I put some Silverstar hibeams in, I think they are Philips? They were supposed to be closer to xenon white but they are still pretty yellow, but better and brighter than stock.
Are these PIAA as white as xenons?
I did do PIAA bulbs in doors and interior, much better than the stock yellowish bulbs.

Yeah I am happy with the interior upgrade (bought the wrong bulb for the dome light though) but for the hi beams i bought
PIAA 19615 Exteme White Plus Bulbs from optauto (found them through the infamous never dying PIAA thread that has been brought back about 1000 times.) Not sure of the color yet I will let you konw later today
