Whaddup all. My CL-S is the 1st car I have had any desire to costumize I admit I am behind the times.( Well does my 97 Corolla CE with the woodgrain dash count?
) Please don't insult me, I simply do not know.
OK on to my questions.
It concerns Lowering my CL-S
1) To Lower a car do I simply purchse new springs and take them to a shop to have them lowered.
2) Can I chose how low it goes or are the springs set to lower the car a preset # of inches (based on the springs selected of course).
3) How much does it usally cost in labor( not springs price)
4) Do i need to chenge the shocks. I know my ride is affected but how badly.
Get at me!!!

OK - Springs lower the car. How much depends on which set you purchase. H&R OE lower about 3/4 inch, H&R sport are about 1.75", I don't know the CT or Tein drop.Install of springs can run between 200-400, depending. Also, remember that spring install requires removal of shocks, so try and do it all at once to save on labor (also, the OEM shocks are not built to be used with lowered springs) Good shock choices include Tokico (blue or adjustible white), or Koni yellow (best).
Camber depends on the car, not the spring, although some springs (any race series) will ALWAYS require the camber set. The H&R OE probably do not, while about half of those with the Sports or CT's need the camber kit.
And "offset" is when discussion new rims...not suspension

go on ebay and buy the TEIN SS Coilover for 900 shipped
find a good shop
slam the bitch
its not a very hard install but to be honest you don't sound like the type that would be able to do it easily, so just a find a shop

If you get the H&R sports, or the Comptechs you should not need a camber kit. If you get the Teins, you may need one depending on how low you slam it. I would go with the Teins if you get a good deal on them. If not, then a set of H&R sports and some Koni Yellows will work great. Get the springs and shocks/struts done at the same time. That way you will only have to do the alignment once.
