just installed my icebox
just installed my icebox
I finished it in 4 hours, i know that might be a long install. I am not very mechanically inclined but i decided to do it my self anyways. I couldn't figure out whether to take off my front bumper for more room or not. that eat up atleast an hour. The room was the trickiest thing, i am 6'3 and it wasn't easy. On the bright side my car is running better than ever, it's a little louder than i expected though. I love it and would recomend it to everyone who is looking for an intake. I'll try to post picks later it the week.
Mine took me about 2 hours, but I have done multiple intake installs on other cars so i knew what to expect. I removed the wheel & wheel-well liner, which made it a ton easier to reach the bolts for the resonator. No way I was going to take the bumper off, as I was afraid I would chip or scratch it.
I noticed almost ZERO noise gain, and I'm unsure whether it is making anymore power either. Dyno will show if it is, and hopefully it gives me a tenth or so.
