I can only hope you are kidding.

Spend a few hours cutting on one of Sams grills only to have it rust through within a month...all after a $175 investment.

I'm more than happy to wait for a quality product.

You must be a slow reader...Kevin & I were the first to receive these...so I'm not waiting waiting waiting waiting for anything.

My point exactly. I've had my grills for over a year now and keep getting compliments. By the time the group buy get started, I might not even own the CL anymore. No disrepect to Smitty and I know he's only relaying info but it's taking forever.

installation is easy ... just a bit tedious due to the number of screws you have to remove to seperate the trim from the rest of the grill assembly so you can sandwich the Grill Tech's in between.

That looks very clean Darrin. I would definitely recommend getting the powdercoated one from Grille-Tech though when it's available. I was painting my custom grille like every month from rock and weather abuse. I'm back to stock now since I sent my prototype back to G-T for analysis but I really miss that look up front... might just have to make another custom one for the time being.

Geesh you guys

OKAY... I just had a very long chat with Grille Tech on the phone...

Seems that I was correct in making the statement that there are too many cooks in the KITCHEN...

I ENDED ALL OF THAT....

the PLOT thickens.

From now on Grille Tech will deal with me and me ONLY.... sorry Chris, sorry Dan, you guys are out of this project since Grille Tech is still waiting to hear back from both of YOU guys who feel short on this PROJECT.(seems you guys went in on it just to grab some free grilles and then dick the rest of us over, since grille tech did not hear back from either one of you.)... but that is neither here nor there... DO NOT CONTACT THEM, THEY CUT ALL TIES WITH BOTH OF YOU FROM HERE ON OUT....

I am sending an COMPLETE Upper Grill to Grille Tech tomorrow so they can make the Grille inserts for the UPPER grille.. THE LOWERs ARE COMPLETE (including the foglight area), but we will wait till the project is 100% complete before starting up the GB on A-CL... A-TL's GB starts July 1st on their site.

The Upper CL-S grille will be made both ways, with either the A-symbol not present or the 3 pieces that lets the A-symbol still be present.. they will make it both ways.

So there you have it...

The next time you will hear updates is when the Grilles are complete and I annouce the GB in the BLACKMARKET..

end of story.

p.s. for you guys who stuck your nose in on this project and did not pull through for the rest of the board..... you should seriously, reconsider your intentions of being a member here.... I am totally disappointed from what I heard tonight.

p.s.s. French, thanks for sending those prototypes over 2 weeks ago...

Dan and Chris, i said my peace, leave it how it is.. I am so pissed off right now.

Darrin, do not crap up the thread...

GrillE tech is coming along on the Upper CL-S grille and does not plan on releasing the lower till the complete package is ready..

The upper will be 2-3 piece or solid.

The fog/driving light grilles are coming along as well..

I will keep you guys posted I am handling it the best that I can at this point in time.

Smitty awsome job you are doing and thanks for be the organizer!!

The options would be upper CL grill, Lower CL grilln now since I have an 02 with the fogs and I order the lower which I will, will it be sold to me in 3 piece (for the fog lamp for 03's) or just the one middle strip (for 01'-03')??

Thanks!!
(also I am glad that Eric is keeping his Suppercharged CL-S 6)

I thought there were several members on here that received the grilles to test for fitment?

Have they not responded or gave grilletech feedback ?

Some responded. I know for a fact one "tester" even trimed the prototype so that it would fit exactly and sent it back to Grille-tech along with a few extra OEM grille trim pieces. Grille-tech is just dragging ass. The bottom grille and road lamp grilles fit very well in prototype form.
