Light at the end of the tunnel

Good news and bad news:
Cliff notes: The TL girlles are done and ready, i am just seeing if the owner will stick to his word and do a Group buy for the TL guys before I go ahead and say anything to them
on the other note, the CL grilles are almost done.

E-mail I received today:

"""Smitty

We have grilles for the TL ready to sell. Look at our website. The
lower and side grilles are fine for the CL but we only have a few
prototypes. The upper grille for the CL has been real tricky and we hope to
have one that will work very soon. Let me know about the TL grilles.

Grille Tech""""

trying my best fellas... It is out of my hands at this point..

Is the website www.grilletech.com? If it is, it's under construction.

So the TL's have been completed & not the CL's? Wasn't this all started with the CL, then the TL was added? Guess the TL is easier to do.

At any rate this is good news. Can't wait to see how they come out. My chicken wire one is on it's last legs.

yes the upper CL grille has been tricky for them to accomplish... keep in mind, they had acess to a TL and not a CL, they sent the prototypes for the CL out to a few members that were not even involved in this.. so the lines of communication have been crossed and too many cooks have been added to the kitchen, so the end result is the grilles are not complete yet.

I had the upper on for over a year on this car, & over a year on the 02 I had. No overheating issues.

Is the CL version going to look identical to the TL? If so I might consider it.

Just to suplement the thread I have some pics of Grille-Tech's Race Mesh on a CL. Lower & Upper Grilles with rubber grommets. I think they make one of the best looking grilles out there. Good job on getting the group buy Smitty!

wait till I get everything straightened out with Grille-tech and get them on the forums as a paying sponser so you ankle bitters can get hooked up... The board needs to create some kind of revenue or it will not be here... now all of you shut up... I am doing this the right way, not some half assed GB thrown together.... Besides it wil be the BEST price around.....

you guys act like they still manufacture the CL-S or something...... relax... I am communicating with them.

Are they going to wait until the complete set is available or will they start offering the lower grill soon even if they still haven't finalized the upper one?

There's another prototype for the top grille coming soon. They had some problems with the original template.
