G35 Spanking... REAL GOOD!!

Coming to work today... this G35 4-door (auto obviously) was riding my ass. This was annoying me... so I kept going at 65-70mph. Traffic cleared up and the guy pulls to the right and tries to take off. I put it in 3rd and floor it.... raced from 70mph to 115mph and I took him by like 6-7 cars... it was unbelievable.

I know he didn't let go... cuz the moment I slowed down... he flew by me. I think those run 14.5's stock? That makes sense. Those things are dogs on the freeway.

Car feels really good today!!

Nice kill!! Hate to see what would have happened if you still had your turbo on??

I ran into one the other day too, and damn.. the 3rd in auto is pretty strong too.. probably don't pull as hard as the manual, but I left him behind also.

Nice Kill. I took one out mid winter Cold weather helped ALOT Although I had 2 people in the car so the lead was more like 1 car length but he couldn't gain at all. We raced till 110mph and then I let off and he flew by so i know he had the accel to the floor.

There is probably only a 50-55whp difference from how the car is now to how it was turbocharged... in fact, 1st and 2nd gear feels just as strong (maybe not towards the end of 2nd... and definately not the torque). If the turbo was on with the current way the car is... it would be scary fast... I think at least 390-400whp!

Anyways... I'm waiting for a few more things before dyno'ing it.

I've taken out the G35S on three separate occassions (with relative ease) in my Max. They really are dogs on the hwy.

It's another reason why Nissan should option the G35S with the G35C's horsepower.

Peace.

Well, manifold and runners are fully ported and extrude-honed.

The throttle-body replaced with a 70mm+ unit (about 25% more air-flow).

I just put the UR pulleys in (didn't have them when I spanked the G35) yesterday.

I made a custom CAI that's the length of a short-ram, but is still a cold-air-intake (helps high-end AND gives colder air). I also wrapped this in heat-reflective material to drop intake-air-temps by about 25C at least (probably more while moving).

A few more little tweaks as well

Glad i saw this thread, i was coming home today in moderate traffic and this G35 4 Door was in the car pool lane and i was coming up on him to his right, at the last second he pulled in front of me moved up and then jumped back into the car pool lane. Well needless to say this got my juices flowing !! I dropped it to 2, zipped thru some openings found some wide open space and floored it, even though he was trying, no contest My exit came up, and he was still trying to catch up. Made me feel good, even though he had the car pool lane i still caught him !!

Where did you get the parts from if you don't mind?
