Anyone use or swear by any particular brands? I've got about 39,000 miles and never put any fuel system cleaners in the tank, maybe Acura did on the 30,000 mile service - not sure. It just feels like it needs a cleaning, ya know?

 

I use STP Fuel Injector Cleaner at every Oil Change....NashuaNightHawk recommended it, and he's a CLS fanatic...so I listen to him.

 

I use Redline Complete Fuel System Cleaner...just started and going to the track today...will tell you how it feels.

 

Yeah, I would like to know what kind Acura uses... on the 7,500 mi. intervals it says "Add fuel injector cleaner to fuel tank"...

this is the one i've heard to use.

 

This is what I have used in every fuel injected car I have ever owned. I have never had an injector problem.

 

If you use brand name gasoline (Exxon, Mobile, Shell, etc.), it has all the detergents in the fuel that you need. I've never used a fuel injector cleaner and never had a problem, just another good way to waste your money. If you use off brand gas, that's another story.

 

$3-$7 every 4K miles is not really a waste of money IMO...if anything, it's good peace of mind

i just started using the STP Fuel Injector cleaner in the black bottle & Complete Fuel System Cleaner in the grey bottle...car feels a bit more peppy, and i use Mobil Super+ gas...24K on the clock

 

I add Techron to a tank of gas once every year on my cars.

 

Chevron Techron or Toyota EFI Cleaner. If you use the Toyota Cleaner add to 1/2 tank of fuel and use it up ASAP! This stuff is STRONG! It comes in a steel can. Pour it into a plastic bottle like the ones STP or Techron comes in and it will eat a hole in the bottom and run out!

do you guyz know if its harmful to add two or more things at once..like fuel injector cleaner and octane booster or any other different combinations at each oil change?
