Extended Warranty

Anyone purchase the 100k warranty? I'm thinking about it for my 03. Where can I get the best price?

I got it, just because it was thrown in at no additional charge...

I had to drive down to Va Beach to get the car.

Just called the dealer and he gave me a price on $1100 for 5 yrs/100k miles. $50 Deductible. Seems high to me.

That's only one more year than what comes with the car. That sucks.

6speed, you can purchase the extended warranty anytime before the original warranty runs out. So wait and see if you happen upon lots of problems or not...

Yeah I thought about that but the longer I wait the higher the price.

Has anyone purchased and used a warranty that was not sold by Acura. If so do they pay out or give you the 3rd degree with every claim?

www.warrantybynet.com wants $984 w/ $50 ded or $1089 w/ $0 ded for 2003 cls + navi for a 7yr/100K mile warranty which IMO is fairly comparable to the manufacturer warranty.

Get the Acura warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I paid a little more than you were quoted. And I think I remember Acura Service saying something about people having bad experiences with the aftermarket warranty. I would ask him or Jens or Wanye from Park Ave Acura. They would be the best to get info from since they deal with both.

My sister-in-law got a non-GM extended warranty on her Bravada. 2000 miles out of her GM warranty, her tranny died. $3000 to fix. She has yet to see one dime from the extended warranty company. Needless to say she's going to court.

Moral of the story. Get the ACURA warranty.

Like the others have said, just make sure you get the Acura warranty. There's no use in buying the aftermarket ones because who knows if they'll even be around anymore if you ever have problems?

Thanks

Thanks everyone

I will go with the Acura warranty. Sounds like $1000 is the going rate. I'll offer that and hold firm.
