Dealer installing springs??

I was wondering if there were any real benefits in terms of warranty issues to pay the extra money for my Dealer to install Comptech springs over a local shop?

Here is my theory.....

If you plan on keeping your car for some time, get a piece of mind and have the dealership install, therefore, ANYTHING goes wrong, BLAME IT ON THE INSTALLER !

If you plan on keeping until your warranty runs out, have ANYONE do it........

I LOVE blamming my dealership, because they are the ONLY one's who work on my cars !

How much roughly do you think they would charge for the installation?

How much should I expect from other places on average?

Nitan: That is THEIR way of saying, they don't support aftermarket products, therefore, you FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP in that case......

RIP OFF fuck going to the dealer, they just rip you off, and even if they install it and you blow a shock or fuck something up underneath on a bump, they wont help you, cause its the AFTERMARKET part that caused it and they will prove it, and in that case, the MM act is not going to apply...dont waste your money pal, i paid 100 bucks for install and i would never have considered going to the dealer, there is no benefit...there is nothing that could happen as a result of the springs that could give you any kind of financial RETURN on your wasted money on the install at the dealer

Thanks for all the replies guys! My main concern and only real reason for getting my Springs installed at the dealer would be for when the shocks go out. And my question is would they replace the shocks (or any slight chance that they would replace them) under warranty since they did the spring install; as opposed to having some local shop install the springs? Thanks again

Yea, the reason why I asked how much the dealer would cost, is because I don't really know of any reliable shops that can do it.

Where have you all gone for the install?

Even if you have the dealer perform the spring installation, they won't cover the shocks under warranty when they go out.

Thanks again for all the replies. I'm just gunna have a local shop do it since all the dealers around me want over $500 to do the job.
