I poured my side and front. They are pretty solid. The front mount might as well be a solid mount. I have the untouched stock and untouched trans mounts still installed. I have little more vibration than stock but about as much as we would have imagined the Innovative mounts would have caused if they were built correctly. I nailed it through third and didnt get much wheel hop. I actually dont think I had any wheel hop, I think what I felt was the LSD swapping power from left to right and vice versa as each wheel lost traction. Remember, we dont have a quafe differential in there so I dont think we will ever be able to smoothly burn down both tires on dry pavement. What I felt was a slow controlled alternating pull to each side not a vilolent hop that made the whole car shake like it was going to come apart. I used 60A and intend to fill only the gaps on the trans mounts and the rear mount. I am VERY pleased with the results. My front Innovative mount was much more deformed than my Innovative rear. With just the 60A poly filled front and side I have about the same performance level as I had with all three Innovative mounts installed but without any of the harsh vibrations. Once the motor is warmed up, at idle, I cant tell the difference between my OEM poly filled and the stock OEM mounts, even with the A/C on.

Thanks! I drove the car about 30 miles today and can't believe how much this does for the overall performance of the car! It's amazing how responsive and connected the handling, braking, and acceleration are with the proper mounts!

oooo i've been whore'd! 
i took progress pics tonight and i'll post tomorrow. the cut mount sections really show the details and are very informative. thanks for the help with these mounts!!
btw digital calipers way better than my OG dial calipers.

The more I look at the front mount taken apart...the more it confuses me. I don't understand how it works. I see that you cut the rubber top out out to fill the inside with poly, and put the rubber back on it. It looks like there is a cover, too. Did you fill up any other part with poly? I see the bolt that goes through the mount to the outside, so i understand the goal is to keep it from flexing up or down as the motor moves. I am picking up a new front mount for $35 today so maybe it will make more sense after i get to mess around with it.
The side seems fairly easy to strip and fill. I am going to order one today, as well. Have either of you stripped out a rear mount yet to fill it correctly?
Do you like the 60a...or would you reccommend the rest of us getting something stiffer?

ok here is another diagram. the black is the front mount main body, the blue is the metal/rubber plate that goes on top, and the red is the cage or retainer. the yellow is the poly that will be poured. as seen the poly will push against the red cage and keep the black "rubber piston" from moving up. i originally only poured poly below the blue plate and that stopped all downward movement but did nothing for upward forces. (thank jim for figuring out the details on the piston movement and cage purpose.)

The diagram is very accurate. I will post more also as the r&d progresses. Have 150 miles on em now and couldnt be happier. All the slop in the driveline is gone. Car feels so solid. Good work distorted! By the way, you dont need new mounts. Everything i am using was badly blown as an oem mount. The poly uses the solid structure of the mount to do what it does. When will this be stickied???????

I know you guys are on the right track. I mean if you just compare the innovative mount to the oem, OEM mount is just so much beefier and solid. Now I wish I did not throw out my blown side mount 
. As for the Innovative warranty I think they will just give you more of their crappy mounts after you pay to have your blown ones shipped back to them. No thanks.

currently my setup is the 60a filled front, 60a gutted and filled side (with 6speed counter weight on the side) and the 60a filled rear mount. if anyone needs some poly and wants to try the 80a i will have a can in the black market.

That is great news! I am still loving mine. I will pull and pour the rear and trans mounts today with 60a. I now have 450 miles on my custom mounts. They are still perfect and have no defornation. If anyone wants to do this to thier mounts and doesnt feel comfortable doing it themselves, i will pour your mounts if you ship them too me + parts/labor. Pm me if you want to do it. We still need someone with an auto too see what happens when we fill the rear. I will help someone with appropriate mods to figure this out.

another austin local, chtrcy, should be purchasing his poly this week. i keep hounding him to be the first auto with these mounts.
i just got back from 2 car meets tonight and love the new mounts. i still haven't picked up my synrcomesh yet from gm. hopefully get to that this week since work has calmed itself some.

sweet. I ordered my poly yesterday...I will be filling my mounts when I get a chance.
I'm running GM Synromesh Friction modifed....god stuff but I wouldn't run it too long. I use it as a conditioner for 10k miles and then switch back to Honda MTF.

just pulled the transmission mounts out tonight. they appear to be similar to the side mount as it looks to be filled with hydraulic fluid and have the rubber bubbles. i am going to cut the bubbles out and drain the mounts. i will leave enough rubber to hold the center pins stable while the mount is filled. the 60a poly should be in tomorrow. out on the street by friday!

I wanted to say, if you are using new or good OEM mounts, it is not necessary to cut the large thick rubber diaphragm that holds the post in place. I only did it to see what was inside. You can drain your good mount of fluid if you want by drilling a hole through the bottom of the mount if you want but I do not see how removing the fluid from a non-blown mount is necessary in any way. Probably better to just leave it alone. FYI

as for the trans mounts, they do not have fluid in them. just solid rubber that is a beast to remove. one down...

the poly doesn't adhere to well to the rubber and with the 4 rubber brackets and 2 bubbles the majority is all rubber. this does not allow enough room for the poly to fill in and bond to itself. i believe the rubber would just push out under load. with the larger mass of rubber it handles the loading better and does not squeeze out.
i will be pouring them tomorrow after work. i had to leave to go to sxsw tonight so the mount project went on hold.

the trans mounts are in and all is well. and all i can say is traction is a wonderful thing.
slamming it in first from a stop gets you very very minor hop but mainly squealing tires. this is a great improvement because with stock mounts you get uncontrollable wheel hop. first from a roll just give you more chirping and no hop. this is just as good as, or better, than the innovative mounts. obviously better because the interior vibrations are barely noticeable. they did not increase any with the trans mounts completed on top of the 3 others. jim...
if you are currently hating your innovative mounts. spend $66 in poly and get what you were originally looking for. and if you need help let me know. this weekend i will be starting the first poly auto mounts.

Distortedolskool (Kevin) came over to the casa today and we pulled my front and side mount out and will be filling them with the 60a poly tomorrow. Should be reinstalling them on Thursday. Cant wait to see what the automatic does with VSA off!
