Nice, i will also be dong this, as i have gone thru 2 fronts since i did the manual conversion 2 years ago.

I will also be adding a "dog bone" style motor mount (like GM has on their FWD cars) soon and will update/create a thread as soon as i do. My hope is to take more stress off the motor mounts and eliminate the motor from twisting as much without having to have solid mounts to cause vibrations.

so just finished my 400 mile weekend dallas trip. car still has wheel hop and it might be slightly more than with the innovative mounts. i'm also not sure if that has to do with the fact that the dampers are still out. i'm going to reinstall them this week and see if that helps. currently i'm thinking that the increase is due to the front since the stock design is so different that the aftermarket.
my next step might be to try the 80a poly on the rear mount. but that's $100 just for a new mount!

thought about the same thing last night. on the rear i did leave the fluid and other rubber intact. i would like to see someone try the 80 and report back but i don't think it will give me the improvement i want. 94a is going to be my next step...i just hate taking off the comptech bar every damn time.

found some good deals on front and side mounts...anyone got an extra rear?? best price i got is $81.84...

I'd like to use the 94 on the front and side and maybe something softer on the rear like 80.

how much of this shit needs to be ordered to do all the mounts? are there different sizes available?

2 of the smaller cans do all the mounts. i still haven't purchased the 94a as i wanted to reinstall my rear damper but i can't find it. anyway i doubt it will help that much. i will order a new rear and 94a tomorrow. i'm not going to redo my front or side quite yet.

Fuck it. just ordered the rear mount and poly. when i do this i will put my rear 60a poly filled mount up for sale. great for a daily looking for something a little extra. or i will attempt to cut the guts out and make it solid poly like my side mount.

Dont do it yet! I have some good info for you about this. I think there is a flaw in how you did your front mount that is giving you too much movement. I have cut one in half, cleaned it, and taken photos. I just poured the side and front mount with 60A. It took all of one small can of 60A. I currently think the best way to do this is 40A complete fill of the front (like I will show you), 60A in the rear, 40A on the side mount, and 60A on the two trans mounts without cutting out the existing rubber. I have all the poly and extra mounts so I will be trying all this soon. The way you filled your front mount there is no more additional limit on the ability of the mount to stop the front of the motor from lifting up. The way you have it, the front of the motor has only been limited from moving down as much as the OEM will allow. Give me some time or call me.

argh! cut me in on the details! i just ordered all new mounts to do this and i want to do it right.

well just hold on to your new mounts for a second. the details and bugs are being worked out.
the six speed rear mount is pretty much solid rubber towards the bottom, below the pin. i didn't cut anything out so the poly poured about 1/4" thick over this area, figured it might be an issue. the poly didn't adhere to the rubber and from the weight of the engine is flared out. i will do a little sketch later this morning after i get back from work. this bottom rubber will need to be cut out so that the poly can fill from side to side below the pin and adhere to itself. i was just about to jump back into the motor and redo the rear when jproy brought up the front mount issue.
i have ordered more poly and am going to add some to the front mount this week hopefully reducing hop. i will be taking pictures and such.

so for the clifs...just standby a few weeks with your mounts and poly. you have the correct materials, now just let us work out the kinks.

here is a cross section of the mount before and after. The red represents the rubber and the yellow is the poly. i know there is a small amount of rubber at the top but i remember the poly pouring completely through. from the weight and the poly not being able to act as one system, has allowed the "flaps" to flare outward.

nope. the front mount issue is that the rubber i poured takes care of compression but i did nothing to help tension when the engine torque pulls up on the front mount. that is what jproy brought up and we are currently working on. i'm waiting to get my extra poly this week.

I know the upper support isnt stiff enough (not like the GM units) But i am working on a bracket either from the front or the rear for it.

I knew it was not and wondered what you would do. I think you should start your R&D with the part at the front of the motor, however that would work. Attaching it to the firewall side will probably send those vibrations straight through to the cabin. I wonder if the strut brace would cut it? Keep us posted.

Well with the rubber in the ends i think it would keep vibrations from coming into the cabin. Either way i will be playing and trying to figure something out.
