Custom Flush Decklid spoiler, something different.

So I got this spoiler from a firend of mine in Cali and its made from fiberglass with a ton of bondo on it. not the best fitment, actually looks kinda warped, but I plan on having it grinded down and molded flush with the trunk so it doesn't bother me that much. If it was made from something flexible, it would fit alot better. Just uninstalled my trunk and I'm gonna drop it off at a shop for them to do it while i keep my car. Shaving the whole rear and filling that cutout for the emblem, then repainting the whole trunk.

Eventually I want to repaint the whole car brandywine red, but that will have to wait a bit, maybe during the whinter when the car is not so much in use.

Give it some paint & it wouldn't look bad as is. I like that look better then the little lip spoiler.

I like, looks good and different from the "norm" which is almost always a good thing. I think it will look very good with the shaved trunk!

I think it has some potential. It'd be nice to integrate a 3rd brake light into it. Would like to see it when it's all complete.

word, how does your fit? mine has a gap in the middle from the back, but I'm having it molded, so that should smooth it out. i didn't get the rear window spoiler, but I'll wait to see yours before I decide, just to coiver up the halftone tint effect. I was thinking of integrating a 3rd brake light that runs the length of the lower trunk line, like the long LED horizontal ones you see on custom trucks.

i think it'll look good...kind of reminds me of the spoiler on the sema cl-s, the one with the one-off kit...also the sarona wing that no1 really has i guess bc of fitment issues...let us know how it goes man, it should be sweet

I think it might look even better if you somehow had it cover the sides too

mine fitted ok it just that around the emblem it did not come out shaped right around the A" emblem. im gonna have to have my shop shape the around it to wrap around emblem. I will have pics. prob by May posted up with my new staggered wheels and the wings.

Good luck with the brake light on the spoiler. I think i'ts gonna look good once u finish it .

looks like its gonna be nice as long as they smooth it out really good to fit the smooth non edgy lines of the CL.

cool thing is that it covers the holes of the OEM spoiler if it is replacing that one, bad thing is that I don't think production is consitent enough to say that it will fit perfect everytime, mine won't fit without being molded, it'll have uneven gaps. We'll see, trunk is off and ready to be dropped off at the shop to get molded. I am dreaming of repainting the whole car while i'm at it too, lol.

well, after they test fitted the spoiler for themselves, they concluded that indeed it didn't fit properlly, and that they weren't going to fix it, so they refunded the payment. weird. I am looking at another spoiler similar to this one. keep you posted.
