Cusco strut bar??
They go for about $160 +. You can get it from a few places, but it may take awhile because it comes from Japan. All struts bar do the same thing, which isn't much for our cars. I would put it under more of a cosmetic mod than a performance mod. You'll notice a lil better steering. Sways will do a lot more.

This one (I believe) is the same strut bat for our car...

Ralph, I have the Cusco on my car. I used to have the Cusco lower tie bar as well but I kept scraping it b/c I have my coilovers set lower than most springs. Let me know if you want to check it out and we'll set something up.
Thanks Silvio, I might have to take you up on that offer!! This mod is going to happen after I instal the sways, I am just doing my homework to collect some feedback on all the strut bars!!
Thanks guys!!
Thanks guys!!

215/50 has too much sidewall flex under load....a 235/40 18 will stiffen everything up where you will notice the improvement more.
I would agree with the fact that they all do the same thing and are equally effective at their job.
This is a minor performance mod. You won't notice improvement by leaps and bounds. Steering response is a bit improved, that's about it. This should really be your last suspension mod.
There are three STBs on the market for our car: Neuspeed, Cusco, and Comptech.
Neuspeed: Pro: can leave stock STB in place. Decent price. Con: none really.
Cusco: Pro: can leave stock STB in place. Decent price. Con: non really.
Comptech: Pro: looks nice in Titanium. Brackets to firewall (like stock STB). Probably lighter then other bars, but maybe only by a pound or two. Con: Expensive. Requires removal of stock bar which isn't really that big of a deal, except now you need to zip tie some tubing that used to attach to said stock STB (Comptech didn't include the brackets for some of the tubing near the firewall).
My experience: I now have the Cusco bar and got rid of my Neuspeed bar. The Neuspeed bar rubbed my stock bar and never really fit perfectly with the stock bar in place. I heard a clunk every now end then from this product. This problem has not been reported with other folks and seems isolated to my own STBs. Since Neuspeed is on my shit list anyway (because of their poor customer service), I removed all Neuspeed products from my car and replaced the STB with Cusco. The Cusco bar looks good and doesn't make noise.
IMHO, I think the Comptech bar is overpriced, especially considering that you have zip tie stuff because they decided to forgo the brackets that were present on the stock bar. I don't think their R&D person was thinking when they made this.

Tires are gonna be the next mod. Cuz these suckers are screaming when i'm taking turn that everything but the tires can handle.
Gonna try and get Comptech Exhaust and B-Pipe done before school starts again too.
I'm with you slimey. I have the neuspeed bar and unless I can get something in between the two to stop the banging I'm going to buy the cusco also. It drives me nuts. Your not the only one with the banging problem. I bought the neuspeed due to the price, but the noise is not worth it.
By the way gorgeous engine bay Smitty, very clean.

go Cusco
Hey...
Go with the Cusco ... I did my research on them before I bought it. Comptech just came out when I got 'em and they were overpriced ... (C$500)
Arnold on this board has 'em (or can order them).... there's a place out in Vancouver who have them in stock ... www.aj-racing.com -- I would get them from there. I think you'll get 28% on the exchange rate.

Arnold (blxmjx) can get them, but problem is taht it has to be a groupbuy to be worth it. Standard wait time is anywhere from 2-4 months.
