Cruise Button

Do ya leave it pressed on all the time?

i dont really see why there is even a button there (besides for people who dont wanna use it and are afraid they might accidentally set cruise ...)

I've only used Cruise Control maybe 3 times the 10 months that I've had my car. I usually only use it at 2:00AM because I'm too tempted to speed!!

I leave my cruise button permanently pushed in. There is such a button for liability purposes.

ya i leave it pressed too .. i have never figured out why there is a button. I am so glad in our cars it stays pressed in. in my last car, if you turned the car off, the cruise would reset and you'd have to turn cruise on everytime if u wanted to use it

i tend to use cruise on my drives to chitown .. its a 100 mile stretch. 65mph speed limit .. i move into the right lane and set the cruise at 84, and wait for a car to speed by me that i can tail =) ive gotten way too many tickets to be that front driver!

yes, i to wait till that rabbit comes along the highway so i can follow him but i only push the cruise button when i'm ready to go on a long haul(to the casino for instance!!!!).....i guess i don't drive as long distance as some cause i just stay in the city but that's another story.

if i was to leave the button on while in the city, then don't you think you just might hit the "resume" button on your wheel by accident?(while trying to park or similar tight circumstance)....i'd rather leave it off until needed.....just my 2 cents.....

Never happened to me in 2 years. You have a much better chance of accidently hitting the accelerator than you do hitting the resume button. I don't think CC will even engage at low speeds.

If you hit the resume button and there was no previous speed set, nothing happens! You must have previously have set a speed before reumse would work! I leave mine on all the time.

ya and that previous speed gets reset if the car is turned off for a few minutes .. dunno how long exactly - but I've noticed if my car is off for any longer than a gas fillup .. that speed gets reset

And you can't activate cruise control until you're over about 25 MPH.

Stock, for now at least.

I think the reset on the cruise control is instantaneous. As soon as you turn off the key it's gone. It does remember tho if you stop for a light. The set speed is still memorized.

I haven't checked the "activate speed", but the resume speed can be hit at about 16MPH or higher. My friends Toy loses the previous set speed whenever he goes under 15MPH (whereas ours requires an ignition turnoff to forget)..

i leave it on all the time. the only function i can see would be that you can shut off the system w/o hitting the brake.

Thats the only time i turn mine off. For those wonderful times when the cop comes up from behind you on the highway and you dont want to attract his attention with your brake lights. Although he probably has already clocked you if he thinks your speeding but it makes me feel better
