Comptech Icebox Filter
What kind of filter is used in the Icebox? Is it a panel filter or a cone filter? I assume it's not the same size as the stock filter? I just ordered a K&N to replace my stock filter and now I'm thinking about getting an Icebox and want to know if I should return it. Anyone have the model number for the K&N filter to replace the Icebox filter that comes with it?

gains aside,
Which filter do you think does a better job of filtering?
I say the foam does one because it's thicker and traps larger particles easier, and because it's so thick, it's easier to trap the smaller particles.
What's everyone elses impressions?

I think K&N is the winner here. If foam filters were better, they'd be making them right now instead of their oiled cotton filters. The amount of R&D that K&N puts into air filters versus what others that are focused on making air intakes and not filters. I've seen demos at a number of car shows where they have K&N and a dozen or so other filters from other makers and the K&N always flow better. There's a reason they're the choice of just about everyone in auto racing.
