Comptech Exhaust

I have a few questions. I just had my comptech exhaust installed and my friend followed me home and told me that my exhast was shaking from side to side.

1. Is it suppose to shake. The person who installed it told me wrote on a paper that he used the studs from the factory because I did not have the Comptech ones and that he adjusted the hangers to make it align with my Versus ground effects.

2. I also noticed the my exhuast sticks out some. Is it suppose to. Does anyone have a picture of the rear of the car with the comptech exhaust and a picture of the versus ground effects rear with comptech exhaust.

3. I also noticed that it is real loud around the 2000 rpm and lower is it suppose to or is my exhaust leaking air. The guy who installed said that he installed it without sealing it up, he said it should be fine, but if it leaks air, let him know.

Thanks
Scott

2000 rpm sounds are normal...just installed mine last week.

As long as the bolts are tight, you shouldn't have any worries.

I would want to see what he did to the hangers though if you have a lot of movement.

1. Yes your exhaust should move around. Its hung with rubber hangers.

2. It should stick out a little

3. "real loud" is diffrent to everyone. between 1500-3000 rpms your exhaust should be the loudest though.

Edit: Chris beat me too it:P

Actually, mine don't stick out at all.

I pushed the rubber hangers towards the front a bit...looks good.

1. The OEM exhaust also moves (wags) a little like the CT exhaust does.

2. The CT exhaust does stick out slightly further than the OEM exhaust.

3. You will hear a deeper exhaust sound between 1800 to 2800 RPM.

I was under the impression that the TL & CL were the same product.

Either way, there is plenty of room for adjustment...just get on the ground & check it out. There is one rubber hanger behind the rear tire & one right inside the back bumper. Grab some rubber gloves & move it around.
