Chrome/Polished Grille

Here is what my current grill looks like (sorry for the dark picture, but this is the best picture I have that displays the grill):

My car was the victim of a hit-and-run and a couch hit my car a week later. A truck five car lengths ahead of me and in the lane to my right was carrying the couch in its bed; the couch flew up in the air and landed right in front of my car I was unable to avoid it since I had another truck to my left and an eighteen-wheeler behind me and to my right. Thus, I got a new bumper and headlight

I currently have fine diamond mesh in silver finish; the material is very coarse and shreds my sponges/rags/etc. when I clean my car. I want to swap out my current grille mesh to a grille mesh with a chrome/polished finish. I contacted STRUT to go over grille options for my car. While I would absolutely love to go this route, I don't feel like dropping ~3 grand on a grille set-up right now. Locating chrome/polished grille mesh is not as easy task! This is the only chrome/polished grille mesh I could find: http://tiny.cc/ps0ib. I would have to buy two 12" X 48" sheets to have enough for the upper grille, bottom grille, and road lamp locations to surround my new fog lights I will buy and install at the same time of the new grille install. I want to mount my fog lights like this:

If I buy two sheets of that chrome/polished grille mesh from eBay it would run me $198 ($99 x 2). Does anyone know where else I can buy chrome/polished grille mesh (preferably at a lower price )? Does anyone have a chrome/polished grille installed on their whip? If so, pictures would be much appreciated! It seems like the majority of people on here go with the black grille set-up. Thanks in advance for the help!

Update

Does anyone know of a company who will custom make grilles for our car? I have called Grille4U and T-Rex, but neither said they would custom cut a grille for me

I am considering purchasing Grille4U's 16"x48" universal polished stainless steel chrome finish mesh grille and re-fabricating my grille myself.

However, I would prefer a company to custom cut my grille so I can have them include a ¾” bezel around each insert to give it more of a luxury look. This BMW 330i has the same mesh I am considering purchasing, but each insert has a bezel (which is what I really want):

Do any of you know of a company who will custom make me a grille so I can achieve this look?

What don't you like about it?

FYI - I am going to add the Acura "A" emblem in the center of the upper grille. I am also going to make cut-outs in the lower bottom left and right grilles for my Hella Micro DE Halogen Fog Lamp Kit...

ive seen a mesh that was either polished alum or silver(didnt look too close) it was sold at Home depo in 2'X4' sheets for making Custom HVAC vents. wasn't expensive, but i dont know if thats the type of mesh style you want. i looked on their website but it sucks so i couldnt find it. it was on an endcap in the building materals area( near lumber and whatnot with small cuts of dimondplate and expanded metal) its the same stuff like the pic of the BMW just comes in small sheets. if theres a HD near u its worth 5min to check it out

the only thing i can think of for custom would be a sheetmetal shop/ body shop thats local to you. you'll need someone to fabricate the bezel for you then chrome dip it, looking at a lot of money for that type of setup.

Good luck!

Thanks for the input! I will have to visit my local Home Depot and check out that mesh.

The sheet metal shop/body shop idea has a lot of variables. I prefer a company who specializes in making grilles to fabricate my grille, since they would have the materials and service I am looking for all in one place.

Is fabricating my own grille my only option, OR can someone recommend another grille company for me that would possibly fabricate what I am looking for?

I have called every grille company I can think of; no one will make a custom grille for our car Thus, I have decided to purchase the Grille4U 16"x48" universal polished stainless steel chrome finish mesh grille and re-fabricating my grille myself. This is the best grille mesh I could find.

Like I stated before, I am going to mount my Hella Micro DE Halogen Fog Lamp Kit like the guy did pictured above (I forgot whose car this is; if it's yours, please chime in). When I make the cut-outs in the lower bottom left and right grilles, what should I use as a border to surround each lamp? The border needs to have about a 2.25" opening. It looks like this guy used some kind of black rubber grommet. I am looking for something that has a reflective finish to match the polished chrome mesh. Any suggestions?
