Can 12V outlets be switched to always on?

On an old car I had I could take out a fuse & that would make the 12V outlets always on even if the car was off.
Is that possible in the CL?
I see no mention of it anywhere in he service manual.
Any way to mod the outlets so they are always powered?
I need a way to keep power to my emergency lights when I turn the car off.

You will just have to rewire the outlet. Just find the hot wire connected to the outlet and wire it to a contstant 12V source. You might want to intall an inline fuse while you are add it. Not a very hard thing to do

it's possible, you just gotta run a jumper wire in the fuse box, not sure exactly which fuse it is since i hadn't bothered doing that but look for it, it's gotta be called the accesory power outlet fuse or something like that.

Panel beneath the drivers side dash. Panel faces in towards the driver.

These guys are right, and another way you could do it would be to run some 4 or 8 gauge audio wire to the back. You could then put the appropriate plug ins on the end or even an inverter...if you don't need anything more than a 12V outlet this may be a bit much though.

Why would you need 4 or 8 gauge?

He's only running emergency lights.

See the last sentence of my post.

What exactly are "emergency lights"?

Search my friend. In any case they are not on my car anymore. I'm done with it.

I never got around to doing this. Never had the time to mess with it.
