Brake upgrade

I've been searching around a bit looking for what to replace the OE warped rotors with and I'm stilll not sure. I want to upgrade the rotors and pads to something that doesn't make any noise (This is for my GF's '03 CL-S) and dusts about as much as stock pads. As far as rotors are concerned I was thinking of using frozen rotors or powerslots but everyone on here seems to like Rotora a lot. What I want to know is what rotor pad combo do most of you guys use for your daily driver CL on stock calipers? Also where can I get them for the best price? I was thinking powerslot/Hawk HPS or EBC Greenstuff, something like that. I want to eliminate or at least reduce the warpage (is that a word?) that the stock pad/rotor is known to cause. Thanks.

Check out the group buy section or PM Excellerate. He was selling the Rotoras rotors and pads awhile ago. Also, check out the EBC Greenstuff pads.

If you can't afford that....get Rotora slotted and EBC Greenstuff. That's what I had and they worked really well. No warping.

Exactly. I keep these rotors in stock and can ship same day.

If you are looking for something better than stock you can't go wrong with ROTORA, Power Slot, or Brembo. I personally and professionally recommend ROTORA slotted rotors but it is up to you. If you want low dust pads go with EBC Greenstuff pads. If you want something similar to stock just go with a ceramic pad.

I can vouch for Excelerate, I live in Pennsylvania and got my rotors 2 days after paying through paypal. You really can't get any faster because he gives personal attention to each order, unlike these big online companies. Its just true, personal attention is much better than big business, unless the price is cheaper in big business, Which it isnt in this case. $194 dollars vs $192 with shipping from Excelerate.

Is it possible to resurface slotted rotors?
I heard they can not be resurfaced (many shops will say NO), they also cost more $$$.

which rear kit did you use ? custom or from the list ?
because on their list they only have a kit for the TL, and the TL rotor offset is different from the CL (about 5mm.)
they have hats for the CL too or they custom made a pair for you ?

How can you say they are the best out there if you don't even have a set installed yet?

LOL.

The 99-03 TL and CL will share the same big brake kit typically to answer your earlier question Jont. But similar to the above post how can you claim something is the best when you have no experience with it as of yet? Have you ever run a different brand BBK to be able to make that comparison?

the front kit is the exact same, but on the REAR, the OEM rotors have a different offset. they use the same calipers and pads holders.

do you sell the same REAR kit for the TL and the CL ?

The rear kit on the 2nd gen TL and CL is diffferent. I do sell the rear kit from ROTORA. PM me for prices and include your year and model and zip code and what you're looking for.
