Bose 6 CD changer...

Just got my car last night. I LOVE IT!!!

Do you guys have any problem playing CDR on this system? I burnt some musics but it won't play right on the Bose system. There CDs are playable on other sound systems.

If you made a custom label for them and they are even slightly ridged in any area, like not completly flat, it will spit it back out and not play them, and if its realy bad they can actualy get stuck in the system , so be carefull when using cd'rs with custom label's.

I noticed that some CDR media and/or burners don't always burns CDRs that are widely compatible with players.

I've noticed this. It's either cheap CDRs, or the burning speed. I burned one at 24x and it would only play the first few tracks - the rest were skipping like hell, and the last 2 on the CD wouldn't playh. That lead me to believe that burning speed was the problem. I made another at 4x and it plays fine.

Don't put on labels. You're gambling with your player.

Also, you might try burning them at a slower speed (i.e. 8X vs. 32X) so that the chemical change on the CD-R has more time to work, thus producing more contrast and better resolution of the "pits".

I didn't use any custom label.. the system skips a lot when playing the CDR disk. Those CDR disks are made by GQ, I will try TDK CDR disk tonight.

Ladies and Gentlemen I have over 50 CD-R's in my CLS with a custom label and have never had a problem. Maybe it's the label paper you use. I use Matt paper from Neato. As I said never a problem.

Burning at high speed for audio cdrs might be a problem.
So try 12x, 8x, 4x or something.

No problems reading 4x cdrs with my changer.
I have an 8x burner so I usually never do audio cd's with 8x, but 4x instead. Only 8x for data.

My CD changer has now failed me twice. These are just regular CD's too. I took mine in the first time after my CD's got stuck, and they supposedly replaced it with a new one. Well, one day after the new one was put in, it failed with the same problem and error message... and then Acura found it necessary to blame me and my CD's (which were all brand new and from the store).

I burn CD-Rs at 36X and have had no problem so far... My only advice is to make sure you "close out" the CD when you burn it and use the best blanks you can get, as some of the bargain CD-Rs tend to be too light and rough around the edges.

Congrats on the new purchase!

Congrats on your car!

Most of my CDs are self-recorded (4x) and I've never had a problem. I'm using Imation's media right now.

I always burn at 24x and never had a problem.
Also for the hell of it I burned some 90 minute cds and they worked pretty well too. (Although the player does NOT like reverse seeking from 1st -> last track (by hitting the last track button))

Thanks guys... I got it working.. It is my poor quality GQ (GQ stands for Good Quality) CDR disks. TDK CDR disks work fine even at 24X.
