BElieve it OR not....

so as many of you know my car got into an accident months back...

they replaced, both front sub frames, rack and pinion, lower control arm, both tie rods, tire, rim, shock, quarter panel replace, re-bend roof and re-finish and re-paint, re-paint front bumper and a bunch more shit.

then after 3 months I finally get it back just to have the trans fail on me. so after piecing together what I need that took almost another month which was a week ago basically and TODAY 180km from home i was backing up and hear a BIG rubbing sound coming from fender. checked and found it was the WHEEL HITTING THE INNER REAR of the fender!..

not to mention they screwed up painting the front bumper (cracked paint) and the fender (too much clear and it's piled up and is drooping/sagging way too much on there!)
I jack the car up from that side and grab the wheel and it moves an INCH left to right!!!!!

tie rod pushes into the rack and pinion (which is BRAND NE W)

so what the FUCK..

Am i really that cursed? is the brand new rack FINITO??? cause it's slipping in and out of alignment and you can visually see the passenger side wheel is out of the car more now and is not pointing straight either!!

So if you had to guess, WTF is fucked?

excuse my french I'm livid now this shouldn't be a 4-5 month ongoing issue.

and i havn't even taken a corner hard yet!!! thank god I didn't actually.

what's your input fellas?

oh and when they first tried to give me the car back

1- the roof was bent to shit and wouldn't even seal the sunroof.

2- they gave me a 245/45/18 on the new rim instead of 225/45/18

3- they didn't properly match the rear bumper (which i paid 200 to get done on the side while they had the car)

as of now the bill (due to the accident)is $8942.23

lol and now will be likely 10Gs assuming another rack needs to be put in.

and no I haven't killed or robbed anyone or anything to deserve this

$9k didn't total your car? Dude, talk to your insurance company. That is BS. Strip your parts and buy a six speed with the insurance check.

If the roof is as you say it should have been totaled. That kind of damage always totals a car out as it's part of the structural integrity of the cars cabin.

Does the steering wheel inside of the car always return to the correct position ?
If it does not return straight every time,
the rack it self could be missing screws allowing the whole rack to also move with the tie rods here and there.

The reason they didn't total it was because of damage that was found prior to repairing what was thought to be all the damage.

i dont understand why they didnt total the car? you can always complain to your insurance company that it doesnt feel the same any more and they will total the car give you the full price of it. Have seen that happen here several times.
Thats what i'd do. Its not worth keeping a car thats been through so much, specially when it comes to frame and suspension.

What a mess this is horrible but I wish I could say I haven't seen this scenario before. The shop doing your repairs seems to put it mildly "inept" and if they remain as the shop doing the repairs you might as well sell your car when they are done because something will inevitably go wrong later. In my opinion if the shop had estimated everything right in the first place chances are it would have been totaled. It's too late for the insurance to total your car because they paid all that money for repairs and its not likely they will pay another amount to you for the car after paying all that money especially since its the shops fault and not theirs. If I were you I would already be making plans to get another car.

lol i am the reason my car got fixed.. i got the mechanic to FIB to the insurance people so they dropped 5K into it before noticing it had 4K MORE damage.

You people don't understand. My mom bought the CL-P back in 02 never had one problem with it then my bro totalled it.

I AM NOT WILLING TO ALLOW A SECOND CL BE TOTALLED BY ME.

PERIOD.

So i got the car resurrected.. and i love it to death.

it aint acura's fault a brand new bushing ripped apart in 2 weeks.

that's just my luck. which i've come to except as of late.

you guys just blame blame blame. where is the realization that shit fucks up and people make mistakes the odd time.

now up till now acura had been postponing my car every chance they could, but now with this new (3rd) body shop manager they are like a new company. he even drove me home in his car!

it's how you deal with a problem that sets you apart from the rest. cause problems are inevitable. and this time acura took 22 hours to diagnose, find, fix the problem. test drive car, and re-cleared the fender. that's impressive actually.

I've got to admit that you have a lot more patience than I would have with this whole scenario. I respect your philosophy although it is different than mine. I'm sure problem makes such as Dodge and BMW would love more customers with your philosophy too.

I respect your decision since its your car but in essence this car was totaled and due to your stubborness you told them to fix it. If you have problems down the line relating to the damage caused by this incident then you have noone else to blame but yourself. You could have let them total this car and purchase another one that hadn't had any accidents with the settlement and mod it just like this one. Good luck

Tein does NOT make the comfort Sport for the CL. They make basic, SS and SS-P.

Unless Its a new application, which i doubt since our car is almost 8 years old now, you wont be getting comfort sport Teins
