I'm a bit confused about what exactly A-Spec (means?) differences LOOK like?

I saw a thread that listed the parts at one point....but...

New 07 Tl Type-S NBP 6MT owner.


Does A-Spec apply only to Base TL's and Type-S's already 'have' all A-Spec parts?

Also although I've seen a few pics of wings, I was wondering if there was a direct comparison of a NBP Type-S lip vs wing picture someone could point me towards?

I took delivery of it with just a lip, so trying to decide if I want to change it to the wing or not....

Well an A-Spec edition of the TL usually adds a front and rear lip, different side skits, different springs, and a trunk lip spoiler. Hopefully that helps you out. The Type S has the option to have the A-Spec added to it. It usually does not come with it. And honestly, if I were you, I would keep the trunk lip spoiler. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

 

In addition to what Biggpinyot said, the Type-S A-Spec kit is different than the base TL A-Spec kit. The sides are exactly the same but the front and rear lips looks quite different. Do a search for Type-S A-Spec and then TL A-Spec and you should pull up quite a few pictures.

 

OP-if you take the time to search/look around, all of your questions have been answered before. This car has been out for 10yrs now.

I admitted I was confused...

Bear one thing in mind: the car has been out 10 years, but I've owned it 2 days, been a member here for 10 DAYS and am slightly overwhelmed by all the different mods and differentiating them....still you make a valid veteran member point, I'll try to be less nooblivious

And even seasoned posters in that thread said gee that's great but the other non stock mods make it a bit hard to know what you're looking at if you didn't already know....

I'll just keep reading & looking and do less askin till there's something really worth askin

The aspec kit for the 3g tl consisted of, the lip kit, 18"wheels, stiffer-lower suspension, a different steering wheel, better brake pads for the AT models, a trunk lip or wing spoiler and a trunk badge.It was a dealer installed option in the begining and eventualy dealerships started selling pieces of the kit individualy. Not 100% sure but I believe all that stuff has long since been discontinued and whaterever dealers have not is just leftover stock that dident sell when the cars were still new. Hope that helps..
