I surely hope not...

i have an 06' TL with 150k+ miles. Lately i have been hearing a rattling noise from the the engine. My car seems to be performing normal, but the noise is getting more noticeable. Could the valve be the problem? I surely hope not....

Any ideas?

Whale cum to the forums, black nuts.

more details are needed.

its VERY hard to help diagnose something over the internet without seeing it or hearing it.

is the rattle present on a cold engine?
does it go away when warm?
is the rattle from the front of the car or the back?
etc.

^ Video would be nice.

Are you sure it's from the engine and not under the car( heat shields). Maybe it's even the plastic engine cover that's loose and causing it to tap against the motor? We won't know unless we hear it or get a better explanation. Even then, meh. Also, a little valvetrain noise is normal with wear,as long as your TL doesn't sound like a diesel.
