ATF Filter

At the risk of sounding retarded. How do I change this out? I've only ever tried in the dark and I'm trying tomorrow during the day but I figure having some extra insight ahead of time will be nice. Do I even need to remove the bracket on top of it? If you can use the pics for a better description. Thanks.

Seriously, just start taking bolts out, if you take out to many, worst case scenario is you have to put in more bolts when putting it back together and it's a learning experience. You can't mess anything up by taking out extra bolts.

It's not that I ain't confident. It's just the whole reason I work on my own stuff is to save money. I try to do all I can to prevent from breaking/stripping bolts, overtorqueing stuff, breaking clips, generally effing stuff up all in the effort to save money.

yes, you do hafta remove that bracket, and the two bolts holding it on. also, detach the other end of that small metal pipe so you can move it out of the way. after that, i think all you hafta do is unscrew the filter cartidge, if my memory serves me right. i dunno tho...it's been awhile since i did it, i forget.
