Anyone else hate our A/C?

Why must you blow so much cold air before the hot air comes out!?!??!

I hate our A/C just because I feel like I notice so much of a power loss with the A/C, what I do is just put the Auto on around 70 degrees and press the A/C off, and the car still feels much quicker.

The heat only gets hot as the car warms up. The air is blown past a heater core which has coolant passed through it to get it hot. If the coolant isn't hot yet (ie car not warmed up) the air won't be hot.

Seriously man, I am in S.D. and I don't think I have ever used my heater once, not even my seat warmers.

The A/C compressor shuts off automatically when you go WOT so there should be minimal power loss with the A/C on.

i get that power loss also...the second you turn it on, you lose so much pull! my CL-P has Comptech headers and they start to vibrate more, may or may not have any connections to the A/C...but yeah definitely a power loss...even at WOT while moving...maybe from a stand still, WOT should be fine.

Same here.

I do not hate AC! AC is a way of life in south FL.

I also never use heat. In fact I just bypassed my heater core in my Explorer. I want to do it on the CLS as well, but not sure if it's doable yet.

Well, I use the heater only when it's sub-55 outside and raining like it was two days ago.

shouldn't feel *much* quicker with it off, but at anywhere but WOT there is going to be power loss

That's going to be true with any car. So, ah why do people "hate our A/C" because of this? Is this people's first car? First car with A/C?

i use my seat warmers in the winter. but i can't say i have a need for the heater to be on although i have turned it on. it is pretty warm once the engine has been on long enough as mentioned.
