Hi Everybody...I have an '02 CL-S ..A/T..AEM intake..DC Sports headers..UR under drive pullies...B&M Trans cooler...I want to open up the exhaust from the stock 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches...I realise there is going to be an increase in sound..thats a gimme..I want the performance gain..but I dont want the car to sound like a "hot rod"...or have it so you can it coming a block away ...Magna-Flow mufflers and Flowmaster mufflers are pretty loud....my question is this...are there any mufflers out there that will sound ...ummm..for a lack of a better word..mellow....wont sound like a "coffee can" muffler at WOT etc etc????..Am I looking for something thats doesnt exist??....Am I doomed to end up with a loud..perhaps obnoxious sounding exhaust??..The system will be custome-made..thats a gimme as well...Im looking for any-and-all suggestion/opinions etc....Thanks all....

 

If I were you i'd just go with 2 2.25in magnaflow mufflers at the end and a 2.5in magnaflow resonator in the middle somewhere. Shouldn't be too loud.
