Aaaargh...windshield seal is lifting
I took a look this morning and the seal around the outisde of the windshield is puckered and looks like crap. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me again?
I had this happen to me when I bought the car. The dealer took care with no problems. It must be a common issue with our cars b/c the service guy understood the problem right away w/o showing him the issue. Just bring it to the dealer and they will take care of it.
I have a curl on my top drivers side corner too!! Not to mention a few other places. I'm going to get it fixed during my next dealer visit. It should be no big problem, just a sore sight to look at.

Mine curled up like lasange noodles.
Dealer replaced it.
I have noticed that it reacts when you hit it with hot water on a cold day or vice versa. By the time the car is dry, the problem is gone.

I had the same problem except mine was on the passenger side of the windshield. A buddy of mine ownes a glass company and he tried to glue it down, but the moulding was too stiff. The dealer replaced the seal no problem, but he did warn me that when they take out the windshield, sometimes they crack. They had an outside glass company do the work. As I was picking up my car, I saw the same problem on a brand new car sitting on their lot.
Can't remember at what mileage mine happened, might have been around 20-30k. Dealer replaced and it looks like new. Today at 60k, I can see it starting all over again. Looks like I'm going to need to have it replaced again at my next check up because you are right, it looks like crap.
Obviously this is a design flaw, maybe they should do a recall and replace everyone's windshield molding due to safety reasons. Bad molding let's water in and over time, the glass could come loose and fly into your face while you're going 115mph against a stiff headwind.

Both the TL and the CLS that we have was doing that. It's from those high pressure car wash places. I just be careful and try not to blast the water jets directly at the window seals. If it does come loose, I simply tuck it back in, no problem there.

It screws up the rims and after all, I am the self proclaimed President of "The No Scratched Rims Club"!
