At the Valencia Acura, where i used to work, i came in today and they were like, you remember that black 6 spd CLS, its in the back now, getting the supercharger fitted on it!! IM like wtf? So i go in the back in the shop and there it is, a nice supercharger for him...jesus... i would kill for that car...

he has spent about 20 k prob into that car, every mod possible, expensive rims, systems, god the list goes on.

anyways it is supposed to be there tomorrow when i pick up my car, so im gonna look at it again

a few dealers have installed them on their show cars but this is the first i heard of an individual installing it on their own ride. take your camera with you OK?

we all rode in the car. it was VERY smooth, quick, quiet idle, and sounded soooooo damn good when the throttle was open

when it was idling, you could hardly hear it at all. and when it's accelerating, it had a very smooth "zuuweeeeeee!" whine sound to it. VERY awesome sounding car

yes i know CT had one, but still, I saw it and touched it with my bare hands!! he is the first NON CT person to have it, Comptech doesnt count, its the fawking prototype car. DOH

when i returned back to pick up my car, he already had picked it up. He IS planning on the stage upgrades from CT and the 3.5 upgrade at the same time. god damn.

Wouldnt u do the stage levels first and the 3.5 before teh supercharger???

anyways this guy is loaded, and since he is...i wonder why he just didnt get a more expensive car to begin with that is faster, and mod the shit outta that.

anyways im perplexed, then I brought up the lightweight cluth / flywheel, the parts dept aka AV motorsports, they like, he will get that for sure dude...

The sound of the S/C didn't sound all that aggressive in the video....it had a whiny noise to it....what I want to hear is that CL member having a turbo put in.....that will sound nice!

 

the comptech supercharger is a twin screw design. They usually make more noise than a centrifugal blower. Turbos do not sound much different except if it has a blow off valve.

They all pretty much whine the same. The noise comes from the gears inside that step up the speed coming from the pulley. The quietest supercharger is the ATI Procharger, it uses a belt instead of metal gears in steping up the pulley speed.
