In a confined UNLIT parking area you’re going to have to be careful, but I haven’t had a problem yet.
I live out in the country so I don’t have to worry about parallel parking at night.
Did you read the update info I posted in your other thread ?

I've been staying out of this tint discussion as this have been discussed a while ago, but I think I need to jump in.
My silver CLS has 15% around except the windshield. I find it a bit lighter than I would want to, but this is the way this 15 came out this time. On my last car, 15 was much darker.
My whole feeling regarding going with a darker tint is this: If you gonna break the law, and you WILL by having anything on your driver and passenger side windows, then you might as well do it the right way. 35% is too light, dont think its worth the money.
20% would be ok, however, it definetly takes some getting used to. It will be tough at first but you will enjoy how the light does not come through and blind you from the vehicles behind you.
However, $295 is way too high for our car. I paid $175, Marc paid even less because he is 'hooked' up. Also, DONT do it now, it was too cold and it will NEVER dry if you plan to drive it. Just like Shawn said, it will need to be kept under a direct light for at least 4 days indoors, otherwise it will bubble up.
My ride with 15%

I’ve passed plenty of cops in the summertime with my BLINGERS shining and they definitely eyeballed the car.
If I had 20% or 5% tint on the sides it may have caused enough attention for them to pull out and ticket me.
I agree that sometimes 35% seems too light, but I’d rather have THAT then a ticket(s) and end up with NOTHING on the car.

BTW johnny i got the hookup cause the guy bowled in a bowling league i was in a few years ago. Wacky dude but he did a good ass job tinting my car
I have a good setup on mine. I don't really remember my price, but I went througha aplace recommended by me dealer and made one key stipulation: I wil NOT pay for the tint if there are air bubbles at all. I am in CA so the weather was not an issue really. There were a few bubbles, but he guaranteed they would go away in less than one week. I figured I would argue the charge if they didn't. All a moot point. I have been VERY happy with my tint (see my tag description). Sure darker would be nice, but the goal is just to get some privacy, and cut down the glare of lights. And I use the car at night, so 5% would just be too dark for me. I don't need to be harassed by cops. I drive fast enough as is. I think the 20%/35% combo works very nicely. $200 or so seems a fair price. I think I MAY have paid 225, but I am not sure. I can't complain. They dropped me off at a theatre, I watched a movie, and then they picked me up 30 minutes after the movie ended...

Though 35% isnt that dark, its still HEAPS better then not having tints at all. I've seen my car w/o tints and with the 35% i have now and even tho i'd like 20%, 35 is definetly not "pointless"

I just tinted mine the legal limit, 35% sides and 20% rear. I would like 20% all the way around, but I didn't want to worry about it. The 20% in the rear is not too dark at all. Like Shawn said, if you're in an area with no lights it will be hard to see, so just use your side mirrors. The shop where I got mine done charges $179 for their best tint and lifetime warranty, and they put coupons in the phone book, so I got it done for about $155.
I got my tint (35/20) done for $175 and I think that is a fair price. $275 is way too much I think. Anyhow, 20% on the back isn't too bad during the day. As mentioned on this thread before that it is pretty dark for backing up at night if the lighting around you isn't very bright.
35% on the sides is the darkest I would go. It is dark enough to give you some privacy and a sporty look but not so dark that you catch the eyes of cops. Plus the car doesn't look too pimped out with 35%.

And thats your opinion which is fine. If your happy then your happy. I just wouldn't personally put anything less then 5-10% on my car.
