Exclamation 03 to 01 seat swap help needed.

I came across a really nice set of 03 CL seats that I picked up and decided to install in my 01 CL...

I already knew that the plugs were different on the driver side but some had said to just swap out the wiring harness and I did but.. That didn't work.

2nd I tried to swap out the original control unit from the bottom even though the plugs were all the same I did it anyways and that didn't work either

3rd I got really fed up with the whole thing so I decided to keep my original seat but just replace the bottom cushion from the new seat but still nothing.

After countless hrs spent I just put my original seat back together and put it back in the car ONLY to find out that now even that seat won't work.

I checked all the fuses and they look good, I don't know what could have gone wrong. Seat is not moving at all in any way so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've never had experience with this issue, but I can only think that:

1. Not grounded correctly, do you have any way to check for continuity to see that there is power going to the seat.

2. These are power seats with memory processes built in? Resetting by unplugging battery...?

3. What these links say.

Like I said, only ideas. Good luck. Hopefully you can solve the issue.

You dont have to remove the ground to remove the seat so not sure that would be it.

I disconnect my battery daily and that dsn't affect seats.

It has to be something you did. It would be hard to know for sure. I would check fuses and for loose connections first.

Did you have to cut off the old connectors and solder on new ones?

Besides the Main Plug Pictured Here, every other plug was the same on both the harness.

I went plug by plug and matched them to make sure they were the same. all the pins ae the same and all the plugs are the same.

Computer boxes have the same plug ins but they have different part numbers so i tried both.

Already checked fuses multiple times and the seat does not need to be bolted down to get ground either because i remember when i took it out i have it completly unbolted and i was still able to move it back and forth.

Can you start the car then try the seats? Is passenger seat working? You checked all 5 fuses dealing with seats? Maybe the switch is bad? #3 in image.

Triple Checked all the seat fuses, they are all on the passenger side fuse box. The passenger seat from the 03 was a direct plug & play and works great.

i tried with the car on and off and as far as the switch goes well i tried both switches. one from the 03 seat and the 01 seat.

In total i spent close to 4 hrs trying different things but i dont know what options i have left. Honestly i dont even know if i messed up the seats or the car is fucking me over.

Im at work now but tomorrow morning i am going to try and use the wiring diagram and see what i can do to test the motors on both seats.

Forgot to update you guys on this but everything is working now.

i had one of the plugs in the wrong spot, that was all.

So... for anyone trying to use 03 CL seats in a 01/02 CL... don't hesitate to do this because it will work, all u have to do is swap out the harness and the control box from the bottom of the orignal seat and MAKE SURE to plug everything perfectly.
