you might have a chance, but i still give the edge to the wrx.

 

Very close, considering AWD won't be a factor. I think you can take it. Their trap speeds aren't that high.

talked to him again just now. his name is earl, we go to college together, knew him since i was 11 or so. his '02 WRX has downpipe and manual boost controller, so he pushes 16 psi of boost. He ran 13.7 quarter mile with that setup.

im pretty sure he has good tires with that too...

well anyways, as soon as i get my headers+pulleys installed, its game time.

will do my best to represent a-cl. if not, we can always have ram drive over and teach these STi's a lesson by running them at 20 (he would probably still chirp though... insane.. )

theres a 3000gt vr4, 3rd gen rx7 (he says he has 400whp but only ran 13.1 in the 1/4 (so i say bs), theres a evo RS, and couple of sti's..

 

u got it bro. goddamn cl-s is so heavy... we'll be doing 2 runs from a dig and 2 from 20mph roll. clearly i'll be owned from the dig but we'll do it just to see how badly i'll get smoked.

i asked him he says hes not sure but he said it was 101. will wait to get a confirmation on that he's gonna go check.

 

if he knows how to break boost it will be really close. thats if he can drive. otherwise you'll beat him.

 

a 101 trap at 13.7? thats impossible. he should be down to 13.4 or 13.5. if that trap is ture then you will loose.

 

my trap speed was 98

I think you will take him from a roll, i raced a wrx with intake, catback and 16psi of boost and he onyl beat me by a car length to about a hundred. So I'm sure your modded cl can take him. BTW tell us how your alphawerks are, i was looking for some feedback on those. Goodluck with the race

 

im excited for the race... next spring i'll have my stage III tranny + SC in.. by summer, IC hopefully (scalbert rocks). i should be making some better gains then

Should be pretty close. Hard to say on this one. I know on mine when I had a stage 1 and raced an 03 CL-S 6spd from a roll in first gear, I stayed with him through first and second. Once he hit third, he was gone. He had the Comptech CAI and headers on his car. I'm not too sure about an 01 type S with an auto, though. I'm guessing it will be pretty close. If you want comfirmation on how I did against the CL, ask blueCLS6, he is the one I raced.

 

well i wont be having the UR pulleys... called like 4 different places they all had em out of stock for the next 2 months. special order from UR will take 6 weeks minumum.. sucks. so it'll be headers intake exhaust without pulleys

 

OK GUYS... we ran with my current setup- ct intake, ct tranny cooler, ct exhaust, h and r sport springs. 20 miles 3 honks, 2 runs. i messed up a little first time, ran from 2nd gear (stupid SS) and lost 1.75 car lengths. second time i had better launch lost by like 1.5 car lengths...

at 20 mph you should be in 1st, and you should have it in D1.



when i go from 50 mph i use 2nd, that works well.
