Wheel size question... TSX

I have a 2007 TSX... Would 17in Grand lights fit nicely, or would I have to lower the car?

I'm trying to save some money, being as 17 in wheels are $279 while 18 in wheels range $413

You bought a 2007 TSX, splurge a little, it’s not a cheap car in my opinion it only deserves the best. First go with a suspension set-up since your vehicle is new if you don’t decide to go with coilovers at least go with a spring + shock combo. In any event I would recommend lowering it first before considering wheels. If you need ideas or pictures check the ‘wheel and tire’ gallery.

Your stock rims are 17 inches. As long as you mate it with the right size tires, you're fine.

You don't have to lower your car if you don't want to, but in some cases it might give an optical illusion of being "raised".

Staying with 17 inches means that you're keeping some performance. When you get bigger rims, they are usually heavier (more mass), and they increase the rotational inertia (mass farther from the center is harder to spin). So don't feel bad if you can't go plus one or plus two.

Although you're saving money now, would you be satisfied down the line? If you'll get tired of it and want to upgrade later, you might as well spend the money now.

Aftermarket wheels with stock suspension looks goofy in probably 99/100 cases. Lower the car if you are going to put rims on it.

I have a strong suspicion you're looking at these...

...and you're getting the price from tirerack. Am I right? BTW, nice choice.

CGP FTW!!

I've seen 2 other members on this forum with these wheels. If you want close up shots of these wheels, let me know.

LOL,....no, it's on Tein SS installed by Mr. Heeltoe. I don't have a comparo pic from stock to this at this picture angle. Where I live, the roads aren't always leveled nor smooth, so I wouldn't want to go any lower.

I agree, plus sizing a wheel with the stock suspension does look kinda goofy as it raises the car up and the wheel gap seems more pronounced. If you do get bigger wheels, you will lose some performance as they are much heavier. Unless you go bigger and get some lightweight wheels...but I don't know if they will still be as light; depends on what you get, I guess.

This particular wheel the OP is interested in is 20lbs. Stock OEM wheel is 25lbs.
