two problems w/ my tsx

I leasd 07 tsx auto on feb28. while drivin' for three days i noticed two things......

1. when i drive on freeway (70mph; about 2500rpm), i hear a continuous high tone beep sound from the engine. When goin' downhill, the sound is gone.

2. when i stop the car and release the breaks and press the break slowly again, the car rumbles moderately. (like..when u r stuck in traffic...u knoe..rleasing and pressing on the breaks w/o pressin' on the accelerator)

I hav heard that high tone sound is normal w/ the transmission tsx is equipped w/...but jus wanna make sure....I was wondeirn' if any1 else hav similar problems...

Other than that...I am very satisfied w/ my new car. ^^

P.s. i have read some threads regarding vtec kicking in the high rpms. can any1 tell me more in detail when does vtec kick in? ...and does ivtec do the same thing?

Well I am not sure about your first question? Is it a faint high pitch whining sound. If so that's the transmission. It's normal. For the 2nd question, I had the same thing. After driving it for a while the car seems to be fine. Maybe the rotors weren't hot enough?

for our stock TSXs, the VTEC kicks in at 6k rpm, and i think the difference between Vtec and iVtec is that iVtec had more electrical componets (control wise) to it?? someone correct me please

I think the 2nd problem went away after I drove it for little more... ^^

and for the first problem, the continuous high pitchd beeeeeep sound is not loud, but i can hear it even w/ my music on at lvl 18. i m keep hearin' that this is normal w/ the transmission. i hope that is the case.... or..mayb it really means..."work me harder" xD...

iVTEC advances/retards the intake cam (can't remember if it does it for the exhaust, but I think it does) from 4500RPM to 6000RPM. This smooths out the power/torque curve.
