trunk release fuse problem...

I have a 04 tsx and the trunk release doesn't work from the outside or from pressing the button on the alarm. I believe it has something to do with the fuse, but i don't have the user's manual...does anyone happen to have it and is willing to share?

There is no individual fuse for the trunk release solenoid. The solenoid is energized when commanded by the Multiplex ICU (basically the body control unit). Fuses #7, 8 & 21 in the underdash fuse box are power supply fuses to the MICU.

More likely you've got a bad input into the MICU (like the doors aren't unlocking), a failed solenoid, or a broken wire (possibly the harness at the left trunk hinge--has the recall been done for the wire harness?).

ahhhh well its definitely not the trunk switch cause i checked that, but basically someone i know took a look at it and decided with a manual he would be able to see what things control what. Thanks though i'll mention what you said poltergeist to him.
