Problem with my NEW TSX!!!!......HELP ME
Hey guys, i bought a new 05, pwp 6mt TSX about a month ago. I bought it on a sunday, and on the Tuesday afterward I took it ino the dealer because it was puling to the left......I noticed this the SAME day i bought the car. They gave it to me, and it was STILL pulling, I brought it back to them on Thursday of this week, and they had it for a whole day, I went back, and the service advisor said " did you hit something" I told him I brought it in the day after I purchased it. He says, we fixed it but there seems to be a common problem with TSX and TL manual tranny's pulling to the left, but he fixed it 99% better. I picked up the car, and drove it and ITS STILL PULLING i can go ito the left lane with out touching the steering wheel.
My question, do I call corporate and complain, especially sincce I bought the car not too long ago and had problems right away. Does the lemon law policy apply here? ANY SUGGESTIONS Thankyou in advnaced to all!

Didn't someone mention getting their dealer to fix this using an aftermarket (Ingalls?) camber kit, as the rear wheels were out of spec and unadjustable, thereby the camber kit fixed it completely?
Run a search, I'm 99% sure this was covered and fixed as I mentioned.

I really dont think I should have to fix this problem by going aftermarket...How bad is it pulling..Hmm lets see. If I let go of the wheel, I can switch lanes. withing a few hundred feet (i guess). Lemon law does not go into affect here right? or does it? I think im going to complain the hell out of Acura.

I don't think you should need to buy aftermarket. In a situation where Acura isn't seemingly fixing it, I would strongly suggest they look at a camber kit. If that is the case, since prices is equal between SPC and Ingall, I would take the route of Ingall b/c you get the toe and camber adjustment.
this seems to be a problem for me. I had my wheel alignment done and the dealershop guy said, "it is still little bit off a bit but you should see improvements, otherwise, u need suspension redone and that costs a lot". Basically $120 CDN just wasted. anyhow, the left most lane of highway is has a bit of slant towards left which means the car will go left. try the middle lane for testing ur alignment. see what happens. if still going left, something wrong with ur car definitedly.

The car is def. going left in any lane. I noticed this problem the DAY I BOUGHT THE CAR. the service advisor says did i hit anything, and he says well if u didnt hit anything, then it was probably messed up during transportation here. Either way the car was messed up before i purchased it i feel i should be compensated.
40,000 miles on my 04 and no pulling to the left. I even have the origional tires, and never had a alignment done. but if your car is that bad from the factory i would really get on the dealers ass as much as possible.

What can they possibly do? IF its the suspension that was messed up before I even purchased the vehicle I will NOT feel right if they just simply fixed the problem. It was not my intention to buy a 30k car with previous suspension/ alignment problems. If they fixed it i will not feel right knowing something was once wrong with it. When you pay 30k you expect the car to be perfect. no problems. What would they do?

Well, understanding that the car is assembled in a jig that is supposed to be setup for an alignment within a certain degree of tolerance tells me that the jig used to assemble your car was at its outer limits; the japanese use many manufacturing methods to insure quality and tolerance adherence. Fact is, your car is definitively pulling, so demand it be fixed by the dealership until it is. Usually a letter from a lawyer insures that you get the necessary attention if they don't do it right. My guess is, since most dealerships don't do the alignments themselves, that the idiots they are taking the car to aren't doing the job that needs to be done. Your car isn't screwed b/c getting it into spec isn't that hard to do.
Now if you are within spec on alignment, it is difficult to say then what is going on. See if you can get a copy of the alignment and we can makes some additional suggestions.
A few days after I purchased my TSX I felt like it was pulling to the left. It was hard to tell as like someone else mentioned, the highway is slanted towards the left in the left lane - and that is where I was noticing it more and more. The TSX definately has stiff steering, at least compared to other cars I have driven. The pulling has since ceased (or maybe it was in my head).
How many miles do you have on it? Have you tried rotating the tires?

It just reached 2000 miles. I bought the car with this problem, ITs not right. I honestly feellike i was F*CkeD. I want a new car. I dont think its fair. If they keep TRYING to fix this problem, and nothing happens, When someone pays 30k you excpect a good car. I have a copy evertying is in blue a.k.a green. The numbers it is at are a little off compared to ideal #'s but its witihing the specified range. but you can still see a NOTICBLE pulling. maybe the frame is messed up?

I had exactly the same problem with my 2004 TSX when new. If you do a search of my name on this forum you should find my previous posts. I second the opinion of getting a printout of your cars alignment readings from the alignment machine. In one of my posts you will find Accura's alignment specifications for the TSX. If the alignment of your car is not within those specifications, insist that either the dealer get your car within those specs or replace your car with another new TSX that is within specs. "Normal" is defined by those specifications from Acura, not by what you or the dealer or anyone on this forum feels. I would give the Acura customer relations folks a call and tell them the same thing. And, I would insist on speaking with the Acura Regional Rep. and relay the same position to him/her. In my case the dealer ended up replacing a number of the bars that connect the rear wheel to the frame/subframe. Apparently some of the bars were not within specs as to their lengths and caused the alignment problem. Do all of these things soon while the car has a few miles as possible on it.

Here's the thread:

First I went through 2 alignments, didn't fix the issue. The right rear alignment spec for Toe? or Caster? or Camber? was out of the printed "range". The control arm is not adjustable so they could never bring it into range.
Then ACURA factory overnighted a new rear control arm to the dealership for me.
R&R and alignment....still didn't fix it. Spec sheet showed it was still out....car still pulled.
Then the dealership ordered aftermarket adjustable control arms. They replaced them, aligned it, and all is fine now. They covered all expenses under warranty.
Be nice but firm to the dealer. Hopefully you have a dealer concerned about customer service and willing to help out.
Good luck!
