^^^ Exactly, you may not be able to change the splash screen on your version following the 06 steps. Also, you need to do the 8 - 16 bit change described on the 06 instructions to make the image the right storage size etc.... So if it can work make sure the image is bitmap, 16 bit, the right pixel size, 216 bit color, etc....

yes and make sure to follow the direction and the size of the picture has to be exact after you convert it because the stupid navi is very picky

the early 07's (such as mine) have ver 4.55a

i can't get mine to work either but it might be due to computer error or me just being stupid.

i cant get the bysin program to open on my computer in using the steps from that 06.

let me know if this gets figured out

I used the following method found at post #1242 by bananafusion on my '06... not sure if it'll work for the '07 but i figured if the method was different than the one you've already tried then it may work.

They can...other than the database changes, I think the audio screen looks different if you upgrade it.

I'd certainly upgrade if I knew they had fixed the daylight saving time problem.

As for updating the 07 navi, no one has been successful yet. I have an 06 so i can't play around with it...maybe someone soon will buy an 07 with some programming skills
