You remembered to connect the intake air temperature sensor properly?

It can't be the Icebox because there is no sensor to disconnect in that install.

My intake is Weapon R with the dragon style.
But when i take out my OEM intake, there are no sensor except for just one blacck plug in.
is the the aoxgen sensor?
but my intake doesn't have anywhere to plug that in.
so where should I plug that sensor to if that black plug in is the one?

the black one is IAT sensor.

from JTso's K&N CAI review thread. the circled one is the IAT sensor.

lol... don't do that.

Here's a question, does this "weapon r" intake have the correct 2 ports for the sensors, and does it seem like they fit appropriatly? The weapon r intake is an unknown quantity around here. If I were you, I would have gone for a more name-brand model.

JTso - f the sensor (circled above) is a bit out of perfect seating it will trip the check engine light. The hair spray works as a "glue" which will keep it in under most driving conditions and you can still take it out easily and doesn't effect the sensor at all and wont crack the rubber grommet. Once the check engine light is on you have to disconnect the battery to reset it (that's why you disconnect the battery befor installing in the first place) then reconnect it then start the engine and viola no more check engine light.

My friend had an AEM V2 on his RSX that never snugly held in the IAT, so I did that fix and the check engine light never came on again.

K&N intake's fitment is the best I've seen on TSX. The IAT sensor is mounted perfectly on the intake tube w/ rubber grommet. It won't trigger a CEL unless you unplug it.

Interesting fix, though it seems a little

I'm just not sure what effect the hair spray will have on the sensors correct reading of air temp if there is a coating on it.

The IAT will not trigger a CEL as long as it is connected to the wiring. It's nothing more than a thermistor inside the housing. In fact, you can leave it out dangling but connected and it still wouldn't trigger a CEL. All it does is detecting under hood temp instead of intake manifold temp. However, I would simply get a proper size grommet and install it where it should be to allow the correct detection of air temp.
