Can I trust the dealer?

If I pay the dealer to replace the brake fluid, how can I be sure that they "actually" flush and bleed the brake? Not by just pumping out old brake fluid from the bottle and wipe clean the nut and bolt?

same for replacing the AT fluid.

You should be able to tell by the color of the fluid.

If you're that worried about it, just watch them outside the bay as they work on your car. Just hold a newspaper up to your face so they dont see you.

Oh, and wear one of these:

My friend works in the service department. I have heard alot of stories from him. and... He strongly suggests that I do not bring in the car for this kind of maintenance.

Why not ask your friend to change the fluid then?

Why not DIY? Just did mine last night w/ the help of a friend to pump the brake pedal when required, and it was simple!

100% correct, 100% free (minus beer for friend), 100% easy.

Don't take offense but doesn't the brake fluid need changing only after 120K miles (according to Acura, not the dealer). Why change it early?

He told me a guy came with the car with 120k miles. The guy wanted to adjust the valve clearance which was a normal maintenance. My friend told me those guys in the dealership just took out the valve cover and then cleaned it and glue it back... literally taking the money and laughing to the bank.
