Anyone's NAVI off as of late???

I just noticed this. Streets, etc. are working just fine but I seem to recall that when I would pass through an intersection, the NAVI would be right there, with the Acura "A" going through the intersection with me.

Now it seems that the "A" is lagging by quite a bit. I would say that I will be 50+ feet or so through the intersection before the "A" is at the intersection on the map. When I make a turn onto a street, it seems like it jumps to the street, rather than making a smooth transition.

Have the satellites recently changed so that the accuracy isn't quite there? Is there a fix for this?

Thanks.

I noticed that depending on how far your view is zoomed in or out affects it. The further away you are zoomed the further it is off. Did you recently switch your view.

I'm all the way down as far as it goes... 1/20 or so...

Satelites don't change...its where you are that makes the inaccuracy. Weather effects satelite reception....so does near by buildings as you recieve reflected waves. Also GPS is accurate depending on how many satelites you are linked to. Consider going into the config menu and seeing how many satelites the car sees--do a search. Did you recently tint your car? That will effect it depending on the type of tint.

No tint... The car is stock.

Ok, so the problem continues... IIRC, when I bought the car I seem to remember the little symbol being right on top of the intersection as I'm traveling. Now, the tip of the circle that surrounds the Acura symbol is right at the intersection when I'm traveling. The end result… I’m well through the intersection when the “A” is passing through the intersection on the map.

Maybe I need to read the book, because for some reason I feel like something has changed.

Is it possible someone messed with the "Position" setup (#4)?

I'll check later. What exactly should I be looking for?

What it does is allow a user to "Tweek" the position of the navi arrow across the map. Park the car at an intersection, if your arrow is not at that position, the preference allows you to move the arrow to that position. The manual doesn't recommend touching this though.

I'll take a look. I certainly didn't go in there.

Thanks for the tip.

I tried manually setting the position of the car on the map. It "seemed" to work, it'll be OK for a few intersections, and then the error grows.

It almost seems like the NAVI computer can't keep up or something. I haven't enabled anything special on the NAVI; nor do I think I could enable anything that would tax the computer so it can't keep up. Actually the only thing I have turned on is the off-road tracking. I guess I can turn that off... But the issue doesn't get worse. It's just consistently slow. I’d say 100 feet or so off.

Any other thoughts?

Is there any way to completely reset the NAVI? Perhaps something is messed up in its memory? I dunno…

Any fixes on this? I seem to be having the same problems now as well. Navi is off, with no changes.
