another wreck...

i really don't want to go into details about what happened...

my car is on the verge of being totalled..
but after all the mods i really wouldn't want to get a new car; if possible i would like to get another tsx and have all my aftermarket parts moved over. (has anyone heard of this being done?) anyhow. here are a few pictures..

sigh, i am planning to bring my car to an acura stealership for the estimate; then will most likely be fixing as much of it as i can myself. it was a horrid friday the 13th.

oh man.
it hurts to see that nice car like that...
damn.

does the stealership have their own body shop?
if not, a collision/body shop is probably better for the estimate.

if my car ever got wrecked, I too would buy another TSX and move over
all of the mods. I have no idea how it's structured with your insurance though.

keep us updated on what happens and what you do please.

did that driver's headlight survive with no damage?

yes. almost flawless. there's a light scratch, but my friend bought a set for a retrofit. and i could just rebake and put on the new lens.. (15$) is what he's charging me for the housing pair. i'm also most likely going to remove the halos since one was broke when i received the headlights a 2 years ago.

That's definitely totaled. Check with your insurance to see if they'll pay to have the parts moved over. It's actually a better idea to total the car then to rebuild it. It's much safer to have everything with the safety systems from the factory. Once you repair them, they don't quite work the same, and if you ever need them, you want them to work. If I were you, I'd push the insurance towards a total loss, which shouldn't be hard. Keep us updated on what the insurance says about moving your parts to the new TSX.

It pains my heart to see this. My condolences to you and your mods.

Damn you know you own a sexy ass whip when you see a car in that shape and it still looks good.

DAYUM... the driver wheel shattered... I am 100% certain atleast 1 air bag deployed which makes the repair cost extremely high, with the value current value of the 1st gen tsx dropping after the release of the 2nd gen, likelyhook of being totalled is extremely high

in order for you to be able to swap all your mods over... you will need the stock parts...

ie. if you want to keep those headlights you will have to leave the factory headlights on there

stuff like the intake you can just pull off and no need to worry

That is HORRIBLE !!!! It is probably totaled. If the engine is still good, u can swap it into a smaller car, but it looks like transmission took some damage

Friday the 13th strikes.

Glad you're alright. I'm not too superstitious, but I drove as little as possible on Friday anyway.

This one is worst than the accident in 2007 with the truck. Could you shed a little light on the accident itself? My imagination comes up with a million ideas, but no real life situations come to mind. I would say atleast $8k in damages.

Glad your safe though, you are right?

ps. - pm me if u dont want to share the details

update::

hood, fender, bumper removed.

replaced the broke axle
and both control arms... (my passenger's was bent a little causing the horizontal position of the wheel to be off a little.)

my single tein basic looks to still be in ok condition, gonna give it a try...

broken lower control arm..

im debating on getting an aspec underspoiler kit; but i actually am leaning towards just fixing my stock sideskirt, i dont think i'll even have to do much to get it back on.

with my rims; most likely i will just be purchasing rex's hfp wheels.
the rest of my body parts i got off ebay... believe it or not it was almost the cheapest place to find oem body parts! that's about all for now..

He doesn't want to talk about it (at least in public). Usually people will tell their stories if it is someone else's fault, so I'm assuming OP is at fault. If you scroll up, there's a link that shows another one of OP's thread in which the cause was his drunkeness.

As far as we know.

He's done a good job of screwing up other people's vehicles too....like this truck... https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-tsx-problems-fixes-128/i-got-into-wreck-674310/

Glad "vthree" doesn't live close to me. We've got enough bad drivers around here.

Geez!!! This poor car! Hasn't it been though enough already?? Drunk driving and jumping curbs, then following too close on the rear bumper of a truck and rear-ending it going at some excessive speed and now the "unknown" accident that I probably do not even want to know about. Some people should NOT be allowed to drive...EVER!! I feel so bad for that car!
I'm surprised that someone hasn't gotten seriously hurt yet!

I agree. I had a few minor accidents in the first 2 years of driving. I got a bent wheel, cracked bumper, a few scratches all in different accidents and without ABS. TSX has much better handling and control, and stopping power than my old Civic, so I havent had any accidents with it yet

vthree, dude, please drive safely. Perhabs u dont care about getting yourself into an accident, but think of others. Most of us here arent angels on the roads, including myself sometimes, but we try not to push the limits. I even understand why my parents didn't buy me a fast car at first.

The first few years of driving have nothing to do with anything when we are talking about someone who gets behind the wheel when he was admitedly DRUNK!! It doesn't matter what age you are or how many years you have been behind the wheel...that's just idiotic!!

Yes...almost everyone had their 16 year old stupid wrecks...but those have nothing to do with drinking and driving! Two totally seperate things!

As a general rule, people driving Acura's line of vehicles are mature enough to know what to not do. While I'm happy the OP isn't injured, he belongs in a different vehicle. I see things like this over at 8thcivic.com often enough. Course, they're in $20,000 vehicles and are mostly under 20 years old.
While some comments in this thread are critical, they are honest. I'm also happy I don't live in his neighborhood. Vthree's 21, but that doesn't mean he's mature enough to handle his alcohol, which is obvious by some of those posts in this thread.

Thanks for asking. In fact it is. I've had 1 accident in 23 years of driving when a woman made a blind left turn in front of me and totalled my beloved '88 Integra (which led to me buying my TSX). Entirely her fault as judged by both our insurance companies....

...and 0 tickets. Safe, sane driving...people should try it some time.

then i can hand them out-clean driving record since getting my license in 1968 at the age of 17. If I did what he did when I was young- my parents would have suspended my driving license.
