Looking good, make sure the roof doesn't get any dust when it's setting.
I like the door handles, you should also do the window trim the same
black as the roof with a few layers of clear.

To all the posters who flame without even knowing what happened, WTF?

Yes, we've read the OP's old threads of stupidity,
but that doesn't give anyone the right to automatically pass judgment
and to libel his character all over the internet.
He's not in jail, nobody died (It would have been in the news) ...

There are endless possibilities of what could have happened, yet the worst is assumed.
What if he fell asleep at the wheel? Someone stole his car, etc etc?
Those who negatively comment just seem like a bunch of people,
who will leave their children with a priest and then in an interview a few days later,

If he were innocent, he would have told his story or tried to defend himself. Anyway, I find it odd that he's painting his own car. I guess he's not using his insurance company?

You think it doesn't happen? I know a few people who fell asleep at the wheel, nothing serious and law enforcement rode with them until they got home, no ticket or anything. This happens to a few truck drivers (big rigs) but they get fined because that's a lot more dangerous

Reminds me of a guy who fell asleep in daylight and was driving on the high way here a few years ago. Police had to sandwich his car. He got arrested, because he had a crackpipe and crack on his lap. But that's a different story

I didn't say it doesn't happen, but when it does...whose fault is it??? The car's?....

It's "nothing serious" to fall asleep at the wheel and risk killing some innocent driver on the road, or at the least screwing up their hard earned property???

So whose fault do you think it is??? Maybe the guy who should have pulled off the road and got some sleep?

how about the women that was driving while talking on the phone and breastfeeding her baby. She was pissed when she got pulled over after another driver called the police.
I do not know what happened with this OP accident but my opinion he seems not to have learned from his first accidents- first time it is a mistake-keep it up- STUDIDITY

So he got into a wreck, a second time.

He's dealing with it, and he knows hes at fault. He knows what he did wrong, and he might be a bit slow at learning from his mistakes, but don't jump to any assumptions. Sure he's a slow learner, but you can't tell me you guys haven't done anything stupid within your lifetime. I'm not saying to this extent, just saying in general.

Just like valeratj who enjoys going 100+ on public roads as he claimed himself in another thread in Car Talk. So I have no idea why he's talking like a Saint and saying "please think of others" when clearly his stupidity equals or exceeds this situation.

So lay off the flaming on the kid you donkeys.

WOW... you are definitely the brightest crayon in the box... making sure the engine was sound would have been my first move. You can have the sickest looking car in the world, but if it doesn't turn on.. well it's jus a 3,000 lbs paper weight...

Good luck with that man, otherwise u've wasted someones hard earned money.

I'm really curious to know how it drives, did you take any frame measurements and is it all aligned or did you have to straighten the frame a bit?

um actually frame was still okay... damage to the dead pedal/fusebox area sucks though... i got an alignment today.. here's the spec sheet.

and a few raw/hdrs i was playing around with...

i need to fix the bumper edge.. its not sticking in like it should.. other than that the car is driving great!!! prior to the alignment my car would drag a little to the right.. but that would be after a good minute or two. after the alignment the steering seems a lot stiffer and doesn't drag at all.

my o2 defouler that i made from the spark plug adapters; finally started working no cel. my passenger airbag still flashes and i think the only remedy will be to replace the srs unit. (i've attempted resetting it with the diy speaker adapter; it clears for a second and pops back up..)

i'm still waiting a few more days before i start to buff the paint; i don't want the paint to react. other than that; all is well.

The bumper also looks to be out of position slightly. The hood is in line with the fenders, but the bumper and headlights seem to leave a gap between them and the hood.

Or maybe it's because I have a CGP so I probably don't notice a gap?

oh yeah the bumper thing is very true.. it annoys me very much.. i'm not too sure. i'm gonna try tightening the plastic holder piece.. ?

as for the paint.. hmm im not too sure. we used the same exact paint and painted both the bumper/hood/and fender.

there's a shot from today... i still haven't color sanded and buffed the whole car yet...

Looks like the rear of the hood is kind of low, causing the front end to lift up. I can see the gap in the pic with the sunset of the whole car. Try raising the the hood hinge area and maybe it will fix your front gap problem.

Was the bumper painted at the same time with the rest of the car?

Using the exact same paint won't guarantee a match. That's why bodyshops have to blend+paintmatch body panels when they repaint them. Your car's not brand new, so neither is the paint. It will have faded over the years, which explains why fresh paint won't necessarily match the entire car.

Even then, I would think that the front of the hood would be adjustable (at least in my accord we could adjust it). If so, raising the rear won't do anything with the front unless he adjusts it to be lower.

If you look, though, the front edge of the hood lines up with the part of the fender that's over the parking light area. It just seems like the headlight/grille/bumper combo is drooping or leaning forward. I haven't taken off my front bumper yet, so I don't know if there is a way to adjust it to lift the front end so that it points up a little more?

Adding washer between the hinge and body, if need more, add washer between hinge and hood.

Front of hood is adjustable up/down by turning the round black rubber bumper things on the rad support. Start with about 1/4 of a turn as it doesn't take much.

Hood is adjustable front/back and left/right (and any conbination/twist of the two) by looseing the hinges at the back of the hood, shifting them slightly, and retightening.

That's great, and you shouldn't. Nor should anyone have any sympathy for someone who crashes their car while driving "tipsy." But we can probably say that with about 80% of society.

Car looks much better vthree. Fix that hood, and everything will look primo.
Good job, just have better judgement on your own actions next time.

Pretty sick lookin car, I'm amazed you got it fixed, I wrecked my 99 TL And it wasn't as bad as yours and the insurance company totaled it out, but I was talking to the body shop guy before the insurance made descision about what they had to do, and silver is the hardest color to match up, followed by tan. I was lookin at your other accidents (not to bring up more negativity) but someone's watchin over you dude, and your Dad must love you, after my accident with the TL my Dad told me that the TSX is the last car he'll finance for me cause he's not risking it again.

I think someone said you're 21? Well if that's the case I'd imagine you're in college and stuff, I know you probably get this a lot but peer pressure is a bitch, be the bigger man and be the Designated Driver instead of the Drunk Designated Driver.

Long story short, I wish you safety on the road!
