SPOON Headers and Exhaust ~~Finally Out ~~

I just checked the Spoon website and the N1 exhaust is out ...

http://www.spoon.jp/jpn/products/lin...n.php?page=409

Just wondering if anyone knows if this exhaust sounds good and if it gives good performance.

The headers are also out it is 4 to 2 so I'm guessing there is another part that is needed to install in your car ? Can anyone clear this up .. ? Also does anyone know if thier headers give good power ?

http://www.spoon.jp/jpn/products/lin...n.php?page=405

This page does not have a picture but has the pricing

How would we know what it sounds like if you're saying it just came out?

you are correct, the exhaust should fit, the header possibly not?

exhaust wont be tuned for our car and coing from spoon I wouldn't pay the money to have an exhaust that is made for a different engine. The header won't fit. Will need modification. I don't think either of them is worth the bucks. I bet I will still have more power with my custom set up of just I/E. I make more than comptech's I/H/E combo and any injen with an exhaust. Just my Don't buy just for the brand name. Go for what performs the best.

There's a lot more new stuff available, or at least the site is updated. Lots of universal parts for all Hondas, and a few that can be used on both the Euro-R and the TSX.

from prior experience with the N1 it gives good gains in power

Ha! The Toda header for the 'ol RSX was $1200 (and worth every penny).

Dynos for just the gains of the header:

HP dyno

Torque dyno

That's a fuckin' header. The Spoon isn't shit in comparison. Though I used to sell Spoon parts, they aren't always the best when it comes to gains. They are definately durable though. Their parts are all engineered for endurance racing.

When I asked if the exhaust sounded good I was talking about the other Spoon N1 exhausts on other cars

So the exhaust isn't meant for our car .. ? what kind of problems may arise if installed .. ?

kurt can you repost the pix...im seeing red X's. AcuraTSX03, I would make you an exhaust and an intake but I don't have all the tools. I did it at a friends shop in SD. He welded and I cut and measured. =) Sorry man. I have N1 style mufflers on my TSX yes they are loud but don't sound like your "typical" honda. Much deeper and mean. And very quiet once I put the silencers in.

My friend has it on his EP3 and it's LOUD!!! I'm pretty sure it'll sound the same on a TSX.

Minus all the mods, with an RSX-S, you'll still beat the TSX. No biggie there.

Anyone have a sound clip of a honda or acura with a spoon N1 exhaust . ?

...and since when does Toda make cams, Toda make a header, Hodata make K-pro, Spoon make 16" you would use, Tababe make the Ultra Medalion, etc. for the TSX?

He was speaking about RSX mods and I drive an RSX.

Back in the day, the RSX ran 13.6 in the following setup:

Injen CAI, ITR cams and intake manifold, Competition Clutch iron puck, Exedy racing flywheel, Phantom Grip LSD, Hondata IM gasket, Hondata K-PRO, Spoon head gasket, Toda header, GReddy evo, ES motor mount inserts, J's racing (Mr. Alex) torque dampener, Mr. Alex fender braces, Revo short shifter with metal shifter bushings, KW level 3 14-way adjustable coilovers, Neuspeed X-brace, Spoon rear lower tie bar, Spoon front and rear strut braces, Rota Slipstreams (16") with Falken Azenis Sports, and your mom sitting in the passenger seat for good luck

Take into consideration that this is over $7000 in mods to an RSX-S. I still like my TSX overall. So it's not as fast or as tight in the corners. That's not why I bought a TSX. It has other features and creature comforts that I like over the RSX. For the $3k more in pricetag, it's worth more than that to me.

Hey guys. How would the Spoon header fit if it's 4-2? I thought it's always one at the bottom to connect? If it's two? there would another aftermarket part to connect? wouldn't that make the whole length longer?

Personally, I was most impressed with the Greddy Evo2 Exhaust for the Acura TSX, It looks the best and I am told that it contributes a lot to great power-gain... Any one know anything else about the EVO2 of has anyone installed a good cat-back?
