has anyone tried swapping a reflashed 06 ECU with their 07/08 yet?

can anyone confirm what's lost (tpms, vin, etc...)?

just curious. i've always read of 04/05 swaps. but i've never really heard of any 07/08s swapping with 06's. maybe b/c it's not advised?

I can't find the post right now but i don't think it'll work. the post I was looking for said something about alot of the electrical things were re-worked in the newer ecu so swapping is a no go

Not sure if anyone saw this new site that just launched: AUSSIE HONDATA SITE

When I searched for the ECU reflash I saw that listed under 2007 TSX it was listed as "Under Development" so that should put to rest any of our doubts that Hondata has just given up on us.

i wonder how long the cycle will be to crack the 07/08?

reading the old review from www.vtec.net, hondata said up to 18 months. the TSX officially came out April 2003, and the first reflash came out March of 2005. so that's about a year. the 07 came out when....probably fall of 06?

so we're close to a year. if it came in time for christmas, that'd be freaking sweet. i swear, i check the hondata site every day for an update.

lucky bastards who own RDX's now have a reflash!!

The RDX this reflash is tested on, is mechanically stock. This is a must have upgrade. Power gains are everywhere, from a strong increase in low end torque to a good increase in top end power above 5500 RPM.

Rev limiter raised to 7200 rpm. (sportshift mode only)
10-20 Hp gain everywhere - 26 at peak.
33 ft lb torque at 3300 rpm

What the heck is "reflashing" mean? I own a 2007 TSX and would love for Honda to change something that gives me more HP.

Basically, it is a reprogramming of our ECU's to lower the VTEC engagement point.

so i was perusing some old TSX-related threads on the hondata forum and saw this post regarding development for one of the earlier reflashes. this will give everyone some idea of the time and cost to develop an app like this--

'We have no reflash for the 05 TSX yet (sorry, can't give an ETA).

It takes significant develoment time to do a reflash for a specific vehicle - perhaps $10,000 of dyno time and our time for an ECU which we can already reflash. Plus we can't do anything for forced induction on the TSX yet. So you can see it is not worth doing a reflash for a TSX turbo kit for you. BTW it looks likely Honda will turbo charge the 07 TSX.'
