yeah. that's what i wanted to point out too in the post to hondata. same ecu's for 07/08 = more potential demand from tuners.

here's what i drafted so far.

Hello,

Several members of the Acurazine web forum, specifically 2007+ TSX owners, are very interested in a Hondata Reflash application for the 2007+ TSX. As such, we’ve started an ‘interest’ list made up of TSX owners who would want to purchase this reflash if, and when, it becomes available.

Currently, our list stands at 28 forum members. While this list is strictly limited to Acurazine, we believe it can only grow in numbers with prospective car shoppers opting for the TSX, increased sales of the model (up 4% for the month as per American Honda’s press release for June 2007), increased interest in tuning and modding (from new and current owners in Acurazine or other Acura-/TSX-related web forums), and confirmation that the 2008 TSX contains the same ECU as the 2007 model (07/08 6MT ECU p/n: 37820-RBB-A21, 07/08 5AT ECU p/n: 37820-RBB-A71).

While we’re aware of Hondata’s Development Policy of not commenting on future works or works in progress regarding features, release date, etc…, our goal here is to show that there is growing interest in a reflash application amongst 07/08 TSX owners, and we’d love to have this available when possible (and any other info we can glean off of you would be great if you feel obliged, such as a definitive ‘No, we’ll never be able to do reflash the 07 ECU’).

i was also thinking of 'I'M CALLING YOU OUT HONDATA' but i don't think that'll go over well.

if we put the list there, hopefully we can get a reaction. and we can link it to other TSX-related forums (ie. the 'other' site) to get more names if they're willing to register w/ the hondata forum.

Just a shot in the dark, but have you thought to send the list to Acura? They could commission Hondata to do an "A-Spec" ECU mod (reflash, but on the dealer accessory list and likely for more $$). At that point I'm sure they'd let Hondata sit in with the Acura K24 engineers to figure this thing out, and maybe even make it better (or at least fully warrantied).

A bit late in the game for this gen, but they still have 08's to sell (plus us 07 owners and leftover 07's on the lots), and as we all know, the stock power is probably the one thing that would stop you from buying this car.

I doubt they'd do it, since they've probably been heavily involved with the 2nd gen TSX for a while now and want to focus on that, but it can't hurt to try right?

If Acura really wanted people to modify their cars they wouldn't keep changing the ECU programming so much. I doubt they'd care at all if you sent them this list.

I talked to some people and it seems the Greddy piggyback setup would work but needs to be hardwired because noone makes a harness, and also need some other timing controlers or something. I got the impression the total cost would be 1500+ so i really hope hondata does a k-pro or something. Even if they release a simple flash we won't be able to add a supercharger, so its pointless to an extent for me. Unless i'm wrong. this is all new to me.

but ideally, i'd like the hondata first. that, plus the stock set up already = 04/05s with header/intake gains.

The S/C requires a reflash as well. Its not the same flash, though.
