Mine does that too. I installed the blue leds and noticed the map lights stay on when in the off position. Moving to "door" fixes it, but I wonder if it is still drawing some low voltage current in the off position?

It very well could, but you could leave all your LEDs on and it wouldn't burn up your battery. They pull like 1/10th the power of a normal bulb.

I installed the blue LEDs (5 lights kit - maps, dome and doors).

I started by changing the rear dome light then move to one of the map lights. When I open the door (checking that the bulbs worked), I noticed the dome light was just fading and not turning off. But once all three bulbs were installed (two maps and dome) - they all turned off completely. I had no problems with the doors lights.

Did you buy from Tech toyz?

It fixed itself once all the lights were installed (3 lights: 2 maps & 1 dome)

Try playing around with the switch - turn from doors to off and back again....

I did play with the switches (both for map and dome) and I kept pushing the door switch to get the lights to turn on and off.

Good luck.
Sorry I'm not much help. =(

I do.

What I meant is while I was installing the lights, they wouldn't completely shut off. So I had put the switches to "OFF".

But then once all the lights were installed, I put the switch back to "DOOR" and then they worked fine.

You shouldn't need to have the switch at "OFF"

then leave door closed and enter the car thru the window.

what difference does it make if they go on when you open the door?

why do you care if i don't like them to be on?

i just don't like them to be on...so i try to fix it......
