5k or 6k interior LEDS

I want to swap to LEDs throughout my interior but I keep bouncing back and forth between the 5k and 6k from VLED. Is there any comparison interior shots of our interiors preferably in beige as thats what my seats are.

Go 5k it's more functional, Unless you like some blue in your lights. 5k is pure white and looks sharp

IMO I would go with 5k as they are pure white compare to 6k which has a hint of blue.

I would agree with the others, go with 5k, 6k might be too harsh of a white for interior.

What do you mean by "more functional"?

it doesn't light up as well with bluish lights. Not a huge difference but 5k is more pure.

Can't go wrong with 5K. It's the one to get for a more "OEM" look.

I like my lights to have a VERY tiny bit of blue in them.
I feel it looks best with the black interior. For any other coloured interior, I'd go pure white.

Pure white just looks too "cold" or bland for me with black interior

Colour temperature differs with each seller, so I'm not saying 5k or 6k lol

which bulb did you buy for your interior? I've been contemplating this purchase for awhile now. only thing is I do not want it to be blindingly bright inside. I have 5k lights for my license plate lights and the ones I used are these: 5K WHITE 4 LED HIGH POWER BULBS 194 168 158 160LM | 1 PAIR - 194 - 168 - 158 LED - Shop Bulb #

just wondering which bulb you bought and if you can post any pics of the interior so we can get an idea of how much the output is.

Is 360* style the best for all of the interior bulbs or are some better as forward or flank?

So is 6k better for all black interior?? My other vehicle is all black

Not a fan of the board lights in dome lights, you can see the individual bulbs and it doesn't look clean IMO. I like the 360 ones that vleds sells

The brightness takes a little getting used to, but you'll like it.

This is mildly amusing to me, because I actually had 6k VLEDs throughout my car, before switching to the same bulbs in 5k! No pictures of both, but if I'm ever not lazy I can try to get some since I gave my friends my 6k bulbs.

I actually agree with guitarplayer in that 6k - or white with a little blue - looks better for my tastes inside. I have a SSM TL with black interior, and I miss my 6k bulbs a lot... But I refuse to spend any more money to revert back to 6k! Not to mention, that 6k makes the blue flakes pop well on a SSM TL... Not regretting my 5k interior bulbs though; still plenty bright!

I recommend these for the front dome lights, license plate lights (I went 5k white for mine over 6k), vanity mirrors, and trunk: 6K WHITE 4 LED HIGH POWER FLANK BULBS 194 168 158 160LM | 1 PAIR - 194 - 168 - 158 LED - Shop Bulb #.

This is what I used for my doors and rear dome lights: 6K WHITE 4 LED HIGH POWER BULBS 194 168 158 160LM | 1 PAIR - 194 - 168 - 158 LED - Shop Bulb #.

So you actually didnt go with the 360 ones but rather the front and the flank style. Thats what Ive been wondering. I remember reading about someone testing all styles in each location and reporting which one did the best job for that placement but couldnt find it.

No need for 360 degree bulbs, yeah! If I ever get a moment this week I can take pictures to show why I chose the respective bulbs and deemed them best for our cars.

I use 5k LED on all my cars. Extremely bright white. I don't like the hint of blue that 6ks have, but to each his own!

Well I went with 6k for the truck since it has an all black leather interior and only has 3 bulbs so see how it looks. Ill go 5k in the TL. I did also order 5k reverse lights for both vehicles.

The tl requires a bit more lights so thatll wait for another month or so.
