Injen Hydro Shield

Owner of import parts store just made a trip to several manufactures like AEM, Injen and Fujita. He saw a demo done by Injen reps on Injen's Hydro Shield and said this really blocks out water. Similar concept with K&N's but this one is water repellent.

Also about intakes from AEM, Injen, and Fujita.

Engineers/Designers
AEM: OLD...
Injen: Somewaht middle aged.
Fujita: Very young. Probably ricers. haha

Manufacturing Equipment
AEM: Clean facility w/old equipments
Injen: Better than AEM, but aging also
Fujita: Brand spanking new equipments (of course..).

I'm really really curious how well they work? I see there's alot more people prefer on CAI as to SRI. I prefer on CAI as well, not only a bit more HP/Torque @ higher RPM but when used w/ Header and Cat-Back Exhaust it gives a good overall HP/Torque gain compare w/ SRI. However, in Toronto, our summer doesn't rain too much, but the winter is really long. And once after Christmas the city will most likely cover w/ snow, salt, sand, and dirt all the way till end of March. I would really like to know how well can it repell the water, and does that transfer to less air-flow towards the CAI????

If it blocks out water, wouldn't it block out (at least some) air? What good is the high flow filter when the airflow is restricted?

I just move my intake into SRI mode during the winter months.
