If so, how effective are they at quieting that system down.

I use them most of the time. They really quite it down, pretty close to stock. You still get feel the rumble of the exhaust, I like it.

Yeah, I had them posted somewhere on YouTube I think. It was of my dyno run. This is with the Comptech Header and RT Cat too, so it is louder than normal cat back only setups.

I also went and bought some extra SS self-tapping screws because the ones Comptech includes rusted out after 1 year.

I do run them 99% of the time, but do enjoy the unhindered sound on a few nice weekends.

Additionally, the videos don't show the dyno output, but the tips have a very minimal (like 1 hp, ~0 ft lbs torque) effect on the performance.

I saw the pics in the other thread and found the youtube clips. Thank you very much! I take a bunch of windy 40-50mph roads to/from work keep getting into the range where the comptech system is particularly loud. I found that I could shift much more often and stay in the quiter zone, but that as equally as annoying as listening to it. I was about to rip the system off the car and put the stock back on, but it looks to nice on there! Seems like this will be a good balance.

Yeah, the tips take it back to nearly stock sound with no performance loss. I say DO IT!
